When this photo was taken I had yet to be conceived. After dad was killed in the war she did what she could to keep me outdoors and involved in hunting and fishing. She was also was quite the poker player and for a short time was a dealer in Tahoe. A lovely woman who enjoyed her martinis. Died at 93. BTW: the radio broadcaster she beat was the famous Walter Winchell and on his Sunday nationwiby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
First of all is that a hill in the background.? Before I was born my Canadian dad taught my mother how to hunt with shotguns. She took to the sport like a duck to water. Later she became one of the few women who competed in skeet contests. At one time she was honored by the broadcaster on his news program for beating him at a skeet shooting contest in the -then- fields of West L.A. Later she bby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
You argue that we disagree about the severity of the issue vs the need to surrender freedom and liberty. You correct-we disagree. Here are some numbers: In WW 2 over 400,000 Americans(including my dad) were killed during a war that lasted roughly 4 years. (i.e. American involvement). During that period of time Americans were asked to give up much freedom and many liberties due to the severity oby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
As a neighbor I don't have the "right" to start me leaf blower at 3:am even though I have the "freedom" to do so. Saying life is full of "risks" is analogous to me telling my complaining neighbor "sorry you moved here and took a "risk" that I would be starting my leaf blower at 3:am. " IMO "freedom" sometimes takes a back seat to the conby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the Dodgers' insistence on getting Turner as part of the deal was a concern about Bellinger and Seeger. If Bellinger begins to hit that will be an interesting problem for the Dodgers and Turner (the SS). The players I believe to watch in possible off season moves are Jansen, Bellinger, Seeger, and Turner (Justin). If for some reason they let Justin go Seeger would likely move to 3rd and Tby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
This mantra about personal freedom is nonsense and childish. Our society has always put limitations on one's freedom to conduct themselves in a manner that risks the health and safety of others. You do not have a right to get drunk and drive a car such that you risk injury to others. Because one has" freedom" to drive 100 mph in a school loading zone we don't expect parents to protect tby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm a people watcher. My wife-not so much. I'm fascinated by how people walk, talk, dress, act, argue, laugh, etc. Then again my favorite class in college was sociology.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Maybe "problem" isn't the right word but people-including me-have become accustomed to on-line ordering. One of my outside pleasures was to go with my wife to a shopping center or mall-make a day or afternoon out of it, just browse, take in a movie, eat someplace and return home to an anxious dog.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub

This from an article by a pulmonologist: "The variant identification requires genomic sequencing, a process separate from regular virus tests and one that not all labs are able to do or do not do on a routine basis for patient care but are done more for public health monitoring." Many people "claim" they have the Delta variant because they have flu like symptoms after beby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

I don't like shots. I have never "wanted" to get them. But I do so I won't get sick and then infect my family or others in my office or friends or...I would think that big brawny football players could hold their nose and get the shot(s) especially if their job is on the line. Its not a real big deal.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. I do think the Chargers will surprise a lot of people. That qb is awfully good and they have added some depth. My concern would be the coaching-which is always the case with them.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
Well-I dunno. I consider the L.A. Times part of the "media" and they reported she had said she was not mentally where she needed to be to compete. So something is going on that we're not privileged to. Similar to that great young tennis star Naomi Osaka quitting the French Open because of the pressure. I think being a highly tuned athlete has an upside and downside.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
is becoming aware of the goals and interests of people outside the USA that are common to us. Spent a week in Calgary for the 88 Winter Olympics. At night the city became a small town with all the restaurants filled with people from all around the planet. Even though the languages were different somehow we could communicate. Alcohol helped. But it seemed like we all shared common problems and hopby waterfield - Bucky's Pub

If you want to see felonies committed by women don't follow the ball in women's water polo. Instead watch the position players defending in front of their goalies. It's horrific. I can't stand it. I have nightmares once I can go to sleep. It's a good thing they don't have underwater cameras to catch the assaults. The sport must be banned as it is the single most dangerous sport anywhere. I know for me it's not so much the individual accomplishments as it is the entire spectacle. We tend to think the US is or should be, the best in all competitions since that is pretty much all we know. Turns out there are so many excellent athletes from all around the world that we know little about. Its always eye-opening for me. Sport is something that we earthlings all have in common.
