The very next play Tate scores. I heard it on a good source that Tate told the ref that Joyner didn't "look right". So protocal was for the ref to take him to the sidelines. whether they were in St. Louis or now here whenever the opposing team is in 4th down they almost always seem to make the first. And if its 3rd and really long-you guessed it-same story. including the last throw, we would be praising the guy as our new hope and saying if only the defense played better he would have had his first win as a pro. If Keenum completes that last pass and the Rams go on to win he would have had a PERFECT game for a qb. But its asking too much to say our QBs need to play "perfect" for us to win. What is so amazing is that the playoffs are thought of to be about the starting pitchers. The Dodgers don't really have any besides the ace as was evident last night. It's been about smoke and mirrors but I'm not complaining. Maybe after the season they will be able to assemble a good starting rotation. The Giants have a great organization including one of the best managers around. They know how to scout and as a result they have some pretty good young players to count on for a number of years. The Dodgers are and will be my favorite team every since the Thomason home run in 51. See my post above. But I have the greatest respect for the Giants. Was there any explanation for that? My neighbor does not have Direct TV and did not have any interruption.Do you have Direct TV cause I'm wondering if the problem was just with them. My wife stayed in my home when I ran across the street to watch the last innings. She said the TV turned itself off and when she turned it back on the game was back to normal tv watching. What gives? I'm still drinking champagne and its hours after the win. Direct TV went out for the last inning and I had to go across the street to see the end. Great bunch of kids and their manager is out of this world for a first timer. Actually IMO the pick of SB was the best number one choice they have made-were it not for the fortuitous injuries. This is proven by his leading the Vikings to a 5-0 record and number 5 in QB rankings. I question the Goff and Gurley drafts. But that's just me.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

What I remember is the "shot" that broke my heart -as a 12 yr old staying home from school to watch the NL playoff on our 1st TV. Giants v Dodgers. Branca comes in in the 9th to save the game and Bobby Thomason "hits a long fly ball, the Giants win the pennant, the Giants win the pennant, the Giants win the pennant". For Dodger fans-going back to DC and losing ? OK -not that unexpected given where we were mid season with injuries to the pitching staff and all the outfielders.etc. So assuming we lose-NOTHING can be as painful as what the Giant fans experienced Tuesday night. Just watching the Dodgers come from behind to win and the Cubs come from WAY behind to win reminded me of why the game is so meaningful. Soooo many moves that a manager must keep in mind in terms of who the opposing manager may choose to hit and how many outs are left and when is the next game and and and and. While I cannot make the decision for you I can provide you with some thoughts. First of all any surgery to your back is no guarantee that it will "fix it".
