This guy, Rowdy Rusconi, was my WR on the Tranquillity Aggie's Senior team. I think I'm confusing Danny Priest with another speedster from that era. I do remember his name, but that's about it.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
or even close to it.... in feeling this latest loss to SF was one of the hardest to swallow of all time. But at the same time firing McVay never crossed my mind. Got some issues with him but glad to have him coaching our Rams. Not easy to say how much posted lately is just blowing off steam and how much is literally accurate... but my guess is most are like, or similar, to my views. - JamesJby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Stewart and Fonda in "The Cheyenne Social Club". NOT your typical western... mostly comedic and with GREAT characters. Henry Fonda especially, as Harley. "I didn't mind it much for the first 100 miles but Harley you been talking for a thousand miles and you haven't even asked where we're going yet". :laughing Good list of western actors, RAMbler.... for me there are soby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
QuoteSeattleRam 1. The Big Country (1958) 2. Lonesome Dove (1989) 3. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) 4. The Magnificent Seven (1960) 5. Shane (1953) All favorites of mine. Can't remember if I posted this before but I never saw "The Big Country" until just not that long ago... early this year I think? What an amazing find. In fact I just rewatched no more than 2 weeks ago? I would probably put that movie #2 on my list. Have to say, however... that my top 10, hell maybe top 20, westerns are so close together that the difference in my liking them is miniscule. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but it's going to be a long road, I think. Kerman is in a major talent slump right now... at least in football... in other sports they're doing very good. Very much hoping for a valley championship in baseball this year with Devon Daniels pitching again. BUT...what Kerman needs is to 'build a program'. It doesn't happen over night. Hopefully Kerman will show patience. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I used to race against him. He was known as the fastest kid in the valley..... I think from Coalinga? I definitely remember the name... I may have the facts wrong. For instance, he may have raced after me and while I was helping coach. There were a few fast kids from Coalinga... Walt Jensen was one, and I know I raced against him.... he now works cattle on the ranch next to mine. - JamesJby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I didn't, but he's the new Kerman Lions HC. He also played for De Le Salle.... most recently he coached Clovis West and last year Justin Garza. We, (fans, parents), thought it likely since he's been in attendance at the last few Lions football games. Kerman didn't take long, no? :laughing I really do not know much about the guy at all and haven't met him but he knows my grandson Ashtby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Lonesome Dove. So much so that I consider other westerns that I love FAR below Lonesome Dove. Lonesome Dove is most likely the greatest story ever put on film... no matter the genre. Unforgiven is one of my top favorites. As for older westerns... "Shane" I believe was WAY ahead of it's time; and IMHO stands up to the more recent great westerns.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
But I think he chooses his roles well and fits 'most' of his characters. I enjoy his movies, and his acting, while like you not thinking he's that great of an actor. For me Tombstone is much better than Wyatt Earp... which I liked but there wasn't anything special about it.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm not so sure that's it. It has that appearance, to be sure.... and of course it may be that - but I think just as likely if not more so: I think McVay sees more player failure in plays that don't work than the play itself being 'wrong'. That could be arrogance, but also true. I think McVay believes he has the talent to execute far better than what is happening. Watching from the sidelinby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
First - I have no idea what post nasal drip is. Is that fancy terminology for a runny nose? As I've said before... I have never had a cold in my life, I don't think. If I'm in very cold weather my nose will run... is that a cold? If so then yes, I have had many colds... every time I'm in cold weather in fact. What I do get more than other people is "Swimmers Ear"... I don't kby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
"Nobody comes into our HOUSE and pushes us around" - or something like that. Can't give examples but I am absolutely sure I've heard this outside of LA.. IOW I don't think it's an LA thing.. although LA may be the loudest in using it. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Always thought Sam had one of those names in which he really couldn't have done anything other than be a tough football player. Like Ray Nitschke, Bubba Smith, Dick Butkus, Deacon Jones.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
seems like they're at their best against the Rams, even when they aren't that good of a football team. It will take more than just not coming out flat to beat them. Like to see a well rounded game from the Ram's.... good running, passing, and equally good run and pass D. And if at all possible good ST play? Is that last too much to ask? - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

I think, make that "I Know", the Rams are a better team than the Niners. But even so... McVay's record the last two years against the Niners does not inspire the slightest degree of confidence in me. Add to that the fact that it's a Monday Night game and you can bet the farm that I'll be a basket case come kickoff Monday night.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Had a busy last two weeks so I haven't been following as closely as usual.... but I could have sworn OBJ was onboard before Woods' injury.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
But I was assuming the 'opinion' was based mostly on whether it had to specifically be OBJ... NOT whether or not to bring in another WR.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Despite CK's stats this year. I hearken back to the loss of Trent Green..... that seemed like the apocalypse as well. This may not quite be as dire, but it's damn close. As bad as it is I don't see as "it's over". I think both McVay and Stafford are talented enough to find a fix... perhaps not a perfect fix but a fix that works. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
