That 49ers team that handled the Rams and won by 12 also just went on the road and wiped out New England by 27. I think part of the story is the 49ers are not quite the damaged goods people thought. Looking at it another way, the NFC West might have 4 of the 10 best teams in the NFL. We'll see. I would say definitely 4 of the best 13 or 14 teams.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

It could be just talk ahead of Monday Night to give Chicago more to plan for. He is practicing and Jourdan tweeted video of him. But unless he is going to legitimately play 20-25 snaps I am not sure who you deactivate to have him active. Would seem like Miami is a more likely target.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed. And overall as Rams fans we should be pretty pleased. Yes, they stubbed their toe on the 49ers game. But if they "are what they are" then the Rams should be 6-2 at their bye week which, again, everyone should be pretty pleased about... They are one of 13 teams that are 4-2 or better. Their points differential (+38) is tied for 8th best. Analytics sites rank them 5th (ESPN FPIby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Interesting piece from FiveThirtyEight.com. With one NFL Sunday left in the month of October, the Chicago Bears hold sole possession of first place in the NFC North. They’re 5-1 after six games, and FiveThirtyEight’s Elo-based projections give them an 85 percent chance of making the playoffs. Even if they played .500 football the rest of the way, they would still finish 10-6. So why are soby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
PFF: Ranking all 32 NFL starting quarterbacks after Week 6 11. Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams Change: Up 6 Goff is a very environment-dependent quarterback, but we shouldn’t dismiss how well he does play when the environmental conditions allow him to. Through six weeks, he has the No. 6 PFF passing grade (84.3) and No. 5 overall mark (85.3) and has just three turnover-worthy plays, the sameby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

Not a bad move- and a necessary one. 92% in his career from within 40. 88% from 40-49 and 63% from 50+. On par with GZ's career percentages. Not a huge kickoff leg (52.3% touchbacks the past 4 years). Kai Forbath career statsby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm surprised. I thought they'd go with Fitzpatrick until they were eliminated from the playoffs if not all 16 games. Maybe start Tua the final 3 games or something or give him a couple series here and there. But as of now they ARE in playoff contention. Hips are tricky things.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
See my post below. Snap counts for weeks 2-6 almost even. But as far as who's in more on run vs passing plays hard to know.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd like to see a breakdown of when Brown and Henderson are on the field. Overall on snaps played since the Dallas game- when Brown got most of the work- their snaps have been almost equal- 32/game for Brown and 29/game for Henderson. But my impression is they use Brown much more in passing situations, for blitz pickup, in short yardage, etc. I don't know that that's a fact but it's my generaby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Good perspectives and I largely agree. Let's take the long view of this team (through 6 games) vs. getting too knotted up in a really bad first half vs. the 49ers. Along those lines, the Rams have played two bad halves out of 12 (first half vs BUF and SF). At 4-2 everything they want is in front of them. They have to go 4-1 in their remaining division games, splitting with SEA and possibly haby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK CB Jason Verrett, San Francisco 49ers Verrett has had one of the most unfortunate starts to an NFL career that the world has ever seen. He showed some promise in a limited rookie campaign in 2014 with the Chargers, earning an 85.1 PFF grade on 223 coverage snaps, then came out in Year 2 and was the league’s second-highest-graded corner. He then played in just fourby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm not sure any new issues cropped up. They tackled poorly and had kicking issues again- same two major issues I think they have had for 6 games now. But I think in this case the rest of the team being flat didn't allow them to make up for those issues. This was not unlike the Giants game where they gave an inferior opponent hope and confidence by letting them hang around. In this case the Rby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'll agree that Goff had a bad start and mediocre game overall (started 1/7 for 17 yards, went 18/31 the rest of the way). But things could have looked a lot better for the offense had Kupp made those two catches. Really, though, the only guy on offense who looked good to me was Henderson.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams have every opportunity to get to 6-2 at their bye week- if they decide to tackle well. But by comparison the Miami game may be the more daunting of the two- they have beaten their last two opponents 67-17 and have their bye week this week. Rams will travel to Miami on a short week after MNF.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yet again Rams allowed a score in the final two minutes of the first half. Thats six straight games- 4 TDs and 2 FGs. 34 points.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
...in my opinion is very poor tackling. They have, since week 1, taken a ridiculous amount of poor angles and just been run through time and time again giving up a really unhealthy amount of yards and 1st downs along the way. You could say early on maybe it was related to the truncated offseason and camp but 6 games in it has not improved.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
He's a good kicker. But I wouldn't trade for anyone they would not have under contract through at least 2021. And Gano is an UFA next year. If Sloman does not settle down by the bye week go get Lirim H. If he doesn't pan out sign the XFL kid MacGinnis. And if that doesn't work go after Gano or someone established next March in free agency.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Majority of the 50 points (10.0 ppg) allowed by the Rams in the 2nd quarter has come in the final minute. They have given up a score- 3 TDs and 2 FG- in the final minute before halftime each of their 5 games. That's 27 points.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Based on the three-week IR thing he would be eligible to start practicing again this week. He does not appear on their injury report right now. Maybe Jourdan R. will have an update.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm a big believer in kids experiencing multiple sports. Like anything else, when you experience different things with different people your horizons expand. The obsession with having to create super athletes in a single sport starting at age 5 or 6 is warped, in my opinion. My daughter joined a competitive swim team in I think 4th grade. She loved it.
