... on May 18th. Anchrum will have every chance to compete at RG. Brewer (and maybe Evans?) will get reps at RT. Etc. But that's the 5 that they should pencil in right now. And it's a relatively cohesive group with 2020- 4 of the same starting 5, and 3 of them in the same positions. Quite a few OL across the league have more changes than that.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, he's a good example why having preseason back this August helps. He might show in those 3 games he has absolutely nothing. Or he could show enough that he is PS-worthy.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Clearly has something given the 42 starts for Iowa. But see if he takes his changes in diet etc to the next level and how he takes to their coaching. See what you have in 12-14 months.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
He does not get much mention but has really grown into a good player heading into year 4.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed. They will likely have at least 3 and as many as 5 OL spots to fill next spring (and several more pending UFAs in 2023). The need there will be pretty big 10 months from now.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
There are question marks on the OL for sure. But I think it is more how they will fit together vs IF they will. Center is the big question of course and I just think they would not have gone the direction they did (doing nothing) if they had not talked extensively with and about Corbett. As the article says he has been a solid starter for 23 games now at RG. My guess is Shelton is the backupby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree. If the Rams offense returns to top 10 and special teams to the top half of the league the defense could take a step or two back and the team overall could be better.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Fantastic city. See the touristy stuff like the Market and Space Needle. But just enjoy the vibe of a really great US city. If extra time ferry out to the San Juan Islands for a night or two. Further out would be Victoria BC at the southern tip of Vancouver Island (also great). If you REALLY want to make a bigger trip of it take the 4-hour train from Seattle (leaves from next door to the stadium)by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I was going to consider MIN but its the day after Christmas so thats out. Lambeau would be great... Still hoping to come to LA, though...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I doubt Young is released but he is also not a sure thing. You would think at least he is quality depth and a good special teams contributor.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sully was a special teams demon.... yeah it was pure pride and spite winning that 1982 finale. I was 11 years old so I wanted every win any way they could, especially vs SF. Rams played (and lost) so many wild games in that 1982 strike year...the season opener blowing the 23-0 halftime lead vs GB and losing 35-23. Seemed like they blew early leads often that year. The Raiders game at the Coliby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think we avoid any extremes though. Lambeau will be chilly but unlikely to be lower than high 30s. Same with Baltimore.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Some of mine: 1982 season finale vs. SF (Sully blocks game-winning FG attempt)- because $@*% the Niners... 1983 season final @Saints to make the playoffs (will always be one of my favorite wins) 1985 MNF win vs. SF to win the West 1989 divisional playoff win @NYG 1993 27-0 win vs. PIT at Anaheim (fun game to have seen in person and best seats I ever had at Anaheim) 1999 win vs. SF to breaby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Home opener One of two east coast games is off the mini bye (post TNF) Well placed bye week Only one potential cold weather game (BAL) Two consecutive road games only twice Less travel overallby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not confirmed by any means. Just some things I have come across today. Week 5- Rams @SEA (TNF) Week 6- Rams @ NYG Week 12- Rams @GB Week 15- Rams @MINby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
That's the production lost from losing Johnson, Hill, Brockers, Fox and Ebukam (admittedly they didn't "lose" Ebukam, he was never going to be retained).by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sure, or Houston. Kerrigan got his production in about 2/3 as many snaps as Houston. They're less than 6 months apart in age. I see them as pretty much the same. The point is the defense could use situational pass rush help for sure.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would hope the number for coaching and all training and support staff is 95% by now. And for players it should be by June.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would take Kerrigan as a situational pass rusher for sure...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. Who can be that rotational guy on the DL that comes in and can play both the run and pass rush reasonably well? I feel good about their run defense and the secondary overall but the pass rush is a big question mark.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Only thing about that game is the Rams were so bad I was already pretty numb by that game. The season opener RamGator mentions was awful because it was the season opener and, as he said, by halftime you knew that not only the game but that season was over. Tough to swallow. But yeah, 40-0 at halftime was brutal....by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
That one never bothered me much because (although they were upset in the Super Bowl) that Washington team was a wagon- far and away the best team in the NFL. The Rams were around the 7th best team in the league I'd guess and had already won a road playoff game in Dallas 6 days earlier. Losing @WAS in those playoffs (badly), weather in the 20s, etc. was a pretty likely outcome.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would bet EDs 2105 goes down sometime in the next decade. Just the way it goes. In fairness OJs 2003 went down because of 16 vs 14 games. Dickerson broke his record at the end of game 15 in 1984.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
The best pick from that Draft ended up being Conwell. The issue with both Banks and Kennison is each was actually pretty good for rookies in 1996- the problem was neither one got better from there, they got worse...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
It's a fair point. Though the guy they took at 57 last year- Van Jefferson- played quite a bit out of the gate. I would definitely expect a pretty finite role for Atwell early on and hopefully expanding it as the season progresses. It will also depend on how healthy Jackson stays.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Will that show up (bedsides AD) the way it needs to?by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Brown has easily the most potential of any of their draft picks. If he becomes Aaron Donalds workout partner look out...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Look at fringe roster players like Demby, Webster, Lawler, Banks, etc. $780-850k savings each if/when released. Do both Shelton and Allen make it? Maybe, maybe not. Same thing. Could Kenny Young ($2.18M) still be a surprise cut? Maybe... In the end I will bet the Rams carry over $3-4M into 2022.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, I didn't include them. But possible. I would even add Hekker. They cannot keep him at a $4.7M cap number if he is not a clear-cut top-3 punter.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, it could. I'm just assuming they won't. Who knows. I am just guessing they'll lean toward using a few later round picks to trade up in the 3rd-5th rounds.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
