Alyo, Thanks for the great information--really dig it. Pardon me if I missed it in one of your earlier posts but do you have an opinion on Leon Jacobs, OLB Wisconsin? Thanks.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
My assumption has that the 'all-in' statements are a reference to acquiring for draft picks(long term) players with one year remaining on their contracts. Trading draft picks for players on essentially one year deals is what makes this an 'all-in' year. In regards to cap flexibility, the Rams are in excellent position to spend their money to keep the players they choose. However, given the plaby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com

Defensive front seven differs from back seven in regards to this 'presence' effect. Sammy affected the defensive back seven by taking the focus/attention of 2 plus defenders. However, on the front seven, specifically pass rush related, this effect is different. The offense has a mostly static front 5/7 and occassional backfield blocker. Alignment of your defensive linemen can dictate what 'prby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I have gotten to the point where I watch very little college football and a good deal of NFL football. Recently did some college football film review and think I discovered the reason why I watch less college football now. Qb play. College quaterbacking is very limited and mostly quite bad. This makes the game rather dull strategically for me. Maybe just a passing thought but one I had and wby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
i thought he dropped on concerns of a chronic shoulder injury this guy needs serious help. football is the least of his concerns.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
By free release I meant the Jaguars did not contest his release off the line of scrimmage. He was definitely a weapon in that game. And remember Gronk left the game at the end of the second quarter.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the intel. I'm in my forties and don't think I'd pay 375$ for any game. Been to games and enjoy it. But that number is far beyond what I think the experience is worth for me. Not even including the PSL expense. Maybe I'm too old...by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Went through the game video for the Patriots and Jaguars with the goal of learning more about Mr. Cooks. Please find my thoughts below: 10 targets --i include the pis as targets 6 catches, 100 yards 2 called Pass interference penalties Routes ran as target Streak x3 2xPI, 20+ Comeback x3 --10, 18, 18 Out x1-- Inc In x1--8 Pby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
LaMarcus is a bargain imo. 11.3 million cap hit no dead money. He allows everyone to play aggressively in front of him and we don't give up big plays. A second year LaMarcus is going to make more big plays too. I'll take LaMarcus over Suh everyday at 13 million or less.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Talib getting beat there was odd. Talib had safety help over the middle and probably should have maintained outside levearage on Cooks. I'm not a pro db but that route seems to have been misplayed.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I like this alot more than the Beathard style of trading future picks for current ones. For example, he often traded his next year's one for a two this year--present value greater than future blah blah. The compensation picks and salary cap have definitely changed the dynamics of player acquisition. My favorite part about what we are doing is information. McVay is getting information on theseby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
WR, CB, DL are the strongest OLB could use starter OT, OG , S, ILB, OLB need depth I am satisfied we have quality depth at Center and RB. Needs: 1. OLB 2. OT 3. ILB--when Barron breaks down it will be immediate and dramatic 3. FS depth--centerfielder type; if Joyner gets hurt.... 4. DT for post-Suh Other than OT, I think we very much are in a place where we can take the best plby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Everett had limited opportunities but flashed playmaking potential. The majority of Everett's snaps were on the boundary in 3rd and long, obvious passing situations. Not many targets are going his way in those situations. As a rookie, he played in limited situations and made some plays. I would expect that to continue and with added experience and physical, technical development he shouldby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
anyone have intel on how Sammy was "unreliable"? From "What it means for Rams" section para2 McVay is so enthused because he’s wanted a reliable outside speed receiver since he got to Los Angeles. Sammy Watkins, who left for Kansas City in free agency, was fast but not altogether reliable. Now McVay can deploy Cooks and Robert Woods on the outside and Cooper Kupp in theby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Ok. All the coverages we faced were predicated on Sammy imo. We agree. I'll watch the Pats Jags and report back. Hoping to not see a one-trick pony with Cooks.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com

it will be a dull draft. but im good w that.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Personally, I don't think Mike OT Notre Dame is worth a first. Plays a finesse game and is not very agile. Penny is gone in the second imo.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
The decision was close for me. I would be happy with either. The main factor in my choosing Peters was the belief that our current offense is good enough to win playoff games with a special teams that plays normally and an improved defense. Secondary, but lessor concern was I think OBJ's price will be significantly higher than Peter's.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Whitlock has a legitimate argument in my opinion though it is means nothing. If any of the players turn out bad for the team chemistry wise--cut them, be rid of them. None of these players acquired can not be removed at anytime. Perhaps there is an opportunity cost of lost snaps, etc for another player that could have been on the team, but giving talent a chance--especially at a reasonable priby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Intersting take on the developments. I don't see is much risk with any of the moves they have made. Risk to the long term success of the team. Plenty of money to sign the core players long term--Gurley,Goff, Donald, LaMarcus, Peters(probably). Personally, these 'despearate' actions are nice to see. They have a strategy for winning and executing that strategy. As opposed to the decade plby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Interesting, so Suh was cut, becomes a free agent, then signs is considered different than contract naturally ending and becoming a free agent for the purposes of compensatory picks?by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
What is wrong with Suh taking time to make a decision? He has alot to consider--fit with team, moving his family, money, etc. Seems prudent and wise to take time for making the best decision. Other than my impatience to know the result, I think what he is doing is smart.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Love me some Jackrabbit. One thing though--Does Dez have any explosion left at all?by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
for total equal dollars I'll take Suh and it is not close.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Haha. Agreed. Im very selective who I watch/listen to these days. Watched la's Shannon and Skip clip about Suh the other day--painful, but Skip showed decent Rams knowledge. Blew me away.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
