I like this alot more than the Beathard style of trading future picks for current ones. For example, he often traded his next year's one for a two this year--present value greater than future blah blah. The compensation picks and salary cap have definitely changed the dynamics of player acquisition.
My favorite part about what we are doing is information. McVay is getting information on these players based on how they are performing in the NFL not college. I think that difference is tremendous when building a team.
