I've always had a lot of respect for Raheem Morris, and it seems like he's got a really strong positive effect on the players. Given that he's worked on both sides of the ball, I think it'd be better to slide him to a more ambiguous role where he can help support McVay more broadly. (Maybe elevate one of the other assistants to DC and then just have Raheem rove on each side). McVay has probby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Great question! So, I don't think they can assess whether you actually "see" your target (e.g. for all they know you could be throwing from memory or because you know what the routes call for) If you suddenly throw the ball while under pressure, I think what they have to assess is whether the ball is thrown "in the area" of an eligible receiver, or if you have been outsideby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Haha, he definitely looked fast / more decisive ;-D I've previously heard of guys actually being faster / stronger after injuries (presumably because of the intensive rehab sometimes resulting in even an better muscle development than before, resolution of previously unidentified issues, or additional "recovery" time foe the whole body), but I associated it more with things like ACLby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Great flag! Thanks for pointing this out. It did seem to me like their defense seemed different than normal. That's cool. Hope they continue to play well. I'm a big Raheem Morris fan, so happy to see the unit playing well!by shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Seeing all these articles about whether the Ravens should be planning to move on from Lamar and who the 49ers are going to pick with the #3 pick made me wonder: What would happen if the 49ers traded their #3 (and change?) to the Ravens for Lamar? That seems like an intriguing - and NFC-terrifying - fit. Normally, I'd feel bad for speaking about such a nightmare scenario out loud, but I tby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know that Floyd had a better year than Fowler had the year before, and I suspect the Falcons feel more than a little let-down by Fowler's performance (although it lines up super well with his career numbers). It seems plausible (certain?) that Donald is tending to create unique opportunities for Edge Rushers. They appear better than their career average when on our team. If that's trueby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
This seems like a terrible trade to me. It seems as if the Rams figured Goff had zero (or negative) trade value, but it begs the question of what Stafford's trade value was... Why would Stafford - who was *officially* given permission to seek a trade - have more trade value than Goff, who hadn't been given that same permission? I would have accepted a straight-up trade or one that only invby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com

I think the main things bothering me with the unis are the 2-tone numbers and (to a lesser extent) the style of the numbers on the sleeve. I actually like the texture on the numbers since I can't really see it from far away and makes it more interesting up close. I just feel like the 2-tone element on the non-"bone" unis looks discordant / distracting. It's probably a super pettyby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just a random thought. I'm skeptical Ramsay will be able to provide commensurate value to our team - particularly if signed to a high-dollar extension - and he worries me as a locker room presence (still can't shake the Taylor Rapp shade at the end of the season). In general, I feel like Odell would provide more value to our team than Ramsay straight up, and if I could get him and a 2 (or moreby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Seems like the 49ers may already be slightly better this year. Found myself wondering what their offense would look like if they traded Garoppolo and picked up (a healthy) Cam. *Shiver* Either way, the Rams should be game, haha, but still...by shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
It just doesn't seem like it's worth the risk to play him. If he does end up seeming ready to play, I'd dress him but try to start the game with Anderson to see if maybe we get ahead early and don't need to risk injury to Gurley.by shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
i'm amazed that the Rams only suited up two RBs for this game.by shepherd18 - Game Time Forum
I know the team is already playing excellent overall (man, it's nice to be undefeated!), but I feel like the Rams D would be even more imposing if it had more coming off the edge. I'm 98% sure it would never happen, but I think it would be worth it if they brought Quinn back. He had the best Pass Rush Win Rate* entering Week 8 despite having a solitary sack. In typical reckless/wistful fashion, there are a few moves I'd like to see the Rams make (I alluded to some earlier this week, and they keep nagging me, haha. Hoping this post finally gets it out if my system, haha): [] Sign Suh (I'm thinking he will be much more affordable on this contract than the last one) [] Trade back for Robert Quinn (I think sacks are rare and Quinn seemed like he hadby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
This was be a good pickup, and I think probably more affordable than he ought to be because some teams are probably giving him the Kaepernick treatmentby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Love the Peters trade and think the Talib trade will work out well, too. But The Robert Quinn trade really bothered me. I feel like edge rushers are hard enough to find that they should have held on to him at least one more year. I was more ambivalent about the Ogletree move, although I think it could also have been a mistake depending on how he was viewed in the locker room (seems like itby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Obviously there are a lot of good candidates I left off the short list (recap: Kyle Shanahan, Raheem Morris, Josh McDaniels), but I'm starting to regret not including the following names: Matt Patricia: I actually like him as a HC candidates ahead of Josh McDaniels, although I confess to being pretty ignorant about both. Patricia strikes me as a straightforward guy, and he doesn't give the saby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
That's a great point. Norv should definitely get an interview. Quality coach for sure.by shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
I imagine this topic may have already been referenced ad nauseum, so I feel sort of guilty for broaching it again (sorry :-/). I'm just having trouble shaking my fear that the Rams might hire someone based more on splash than their potential effectiveness as a head coach. The reports that the Rams are interested in current head coaches are troublesome to be me because I think it's a potentiallyby shepherd18 - RamsFootballFans.com
appreciate it, yeah your probably right about the bradford thing. it urks me that seattle would probably get him though, maybe we should try trading to seattle? oh wait, but then who would we pick up? i know popular opinion is to go suh or bradford but if i could get an experience qb that would probably play better than bradford for the next 2 years, i'd get one of them and trade down. seattlby shepherd18 - 6th Annual Herd Board Live Mock Draft
appreciate it. thanks. what do you think about best, dude. its been bothering me so much that he's projected so low. it would be good for us but i don't think we're really looking into getting a running back, but his film is way better than any of the other running backs. do you think he'd help the Rams?by shepherd18 - 6th Annual Herd Board Live Mock Draft
