Nice post James. Yep-the Stanford swimmer was great not only the swim but the award ceremony. And what an inspiration for African American children. No less in a sport where so many claimed African Americans would never be good enough to compete due to physical characteristics, etc. Truly inspiring. Then again she is clearly a bright girl by the way she speaks and the fact she's at Stanford. Aby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
but did anyone happen to see the meteor shower last night? 200 meteors per hour streaked through our sky. And I'm sure Goff was fascinated.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
James: You actually think the owner would buy that or Snead? After all that dough they committed? He's more than likely to be starting no later than the 3rd game and probably earlier. Maybe the first game.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
Hypocrites are neat fellows. They always win no matter what. While I secretly root for the Rams always I like to post negative stuff. That way if they win I'm happy and if they lose I said they would. Best of all worlds. It's like that old saying "take responsibility for your own actions". I don't like that. If I did I would be a very unhappy and depressed person-so I always try and blaby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
I read a great piece in today's L.a. Times about the Thompson kids. Klay plays for the Warriors in the NBA. Trayce plays for the Dodgers. Mychel is in the minors (baseball). Their dad Mychal Thompson was the number one draft choice in the NBA and starred for the Lakers. The article was really an interview with their mom Julie who said something profound to me: She said "you can't want iby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

I know you travel to So Cal often so I'm assuming an issue of this significance would not be a problem But before I give you a recommendation what do his parents say about this. Seems like it's their call. If they are OK with the travel I would highly recommend two orthopedic venues. One is USC and the other is Newport Orthopedics in Newport Beach and Irvine. He actually IS Humpty Dumpty ! But he also knows more about football than anyone here-having played the game for a long time at a very high university level (USC Captain) as did his father and others in the family. And I don't even care for the guy- too juvenile for my tastes. maybe I should say I don't care for his childish humor but I do respect his knowledge of the game more than most other &qby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
I actually walk out of the room. Why do I need to see someone's sorrow. Most of these guys are working really hard and have done so for a long time with just a dream.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
Speaking of going home: do you know that it takes 230 million years to make one complete orbit around the Milky Way! I don't know when this started but I'm guessing there is no need to rush out for party favors to celebrate a homecoming. BTW: I still think Goff knew the answer which was the sun -while in motion-does not "rise over the earth". I mean he's a Cal graduate right? Did heby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean the foundation of the question is wrong-dead wrong-namely that the sun actually moves. It is the earth that's moving and Goff must know that and thus it was an impossible question to answer since the question itself was based on a falsehood. After all he went to Berkeley. His puzzlement could mean he's smarter that whoever asked him the question.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
Like I say there are exceptions. But don't rule Tony Banks out of the HOF. He still may get in. Anythings possible. I'm told that he wants to come back. Pepper told me that.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
"Petros has been a cold bucket of water on anything Rams for sometime now." I'm not sure he's a QB fan period. He was that way re Bradford and anyone else the Rams had at QB. He's also on the Charger station and that may have something to do with his take. The Rams OTOH will be on KMPC (ESPN). Actually the computer nerds have done studies on stuff like this. You might be surprised but for the most part-not by any means 100% accurate-you can tell how the season will turn out by the -get this-the very first series of downs !! The theory behind it is-in its most simple terms-is that the first string is now playing football after the lengthiest practice sessions of the entire football seaby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
Well if you never heard of "this guy" that must mean he has no business giving any type of analysis like the people you have heard of . What I can't fathom is how ANYONE doesn't know the sun's supposed "path". As actually pointed out on the Hard Knocks program the sun doesn't rise or set. It stays where it is and its the earth that's moving. BTW: the guy you never heardby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
The rap on him was that players would go back into the huddle and he would call a play that no one ever heard of. And then he would make something up.. Hey James-common on now. This is not an endorsement of Papadakis. But I thought his take on the ability to actually "call plays" was interesting since we never talk about that stuff and apparently as a real football player he considers that important. I suspect that getting the right play called AND getting it off in 40 seconds after the play is dead really is important. I also suspectby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
According to Petros Papadakis on 5.70 L.A. radio Goff should not have been drafted number one. For those who are unfamiliar with the Fox sports program Petros was tailback and captain of the worst USC football team in history-according to himself. Anyway he says that the draftee never called a play in high school and never called a play at Cal. He said he has an average to below average NFL arm.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

Yes-besides most of the time our "opinions" are only on what we see on the screen. And most TV broadcasts focus on the qb and skill players.
