They tried resting him, and it didn’t work. They tried running him, and it didn’t work. The Rams exhausted seemingly every option this season in attempting to operate their offense through Todd Gurley, yet his sore and slowing legs could not carry them past mediocrity. The inconsistency of his usage was a constant distraction. His production didn’t warrant the team jumping through hoops.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay started repeating successful plays. So he'd go back to Higbee and make the opposition stop it. In the SF game I remember seeing Higbee being covered as JG rolled out, looking for that across the body throw that Higbee had been eating up opponents with.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
If McQuaide makes his block, Nick Scott is making the first down and more. Check it out at the 47 seconds mark.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I know that many are clamoring for the return of GW. But he is not a fit, IMO, under McVay. Here's why: 1) Culture. Under McVay, the Rams coaches are teachers, finding ways to use their coaching prowess to reach individual players. Their only ask? Does the players have a passion for football. GW is a "my way or the highway" coach who manages by fear and "do what you're toldby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah but you also run a farm, with calves (and he eats ribeye like its going out of style). Total respect for you, DP!by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Makes little sense to move on from JJ as his stock couldn't couldn't be lower after coming off injury. The Rams would want more than a 3rd rounder for him, since he's most likely will get a top salary if he hits free agency. Also the Ram tend to acquire players with one year left on their rookie contracts, not let them go. I think that Rich is off the mark here.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

It's easy to throw stones at the Super Bowl runner-up. Every one wants to get clicks by saying that they know it all. In reality, there is little thought to what's going on. How about giving cred for McVay rolling out his two TE 12 formation to counter the 6-1 defense? How about credit for taking down Seattle in dominating style? Yes, there were big losses that left all of us scratching ourby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Cory got an opportunity and was coached up to be successful. Starting with Special Teams before making an impact as a LB and eventual starter. Kiser is being molded the same way. Given Kiser's college success as a playmaker and tackling machine, I have a higher expectation that you, I guess. Agree to disagree.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Littleton was an undrafted free agent in 2016. Much lower than a 5th round choice. You'd put your faith in him, why not Kiser?by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com

As Rams struggle, coach Sean McVay’s reputation takes a hit By GARY KLEIN NOV. 16, 2019 12:14 PM Not so long ago — circa 2018 — Sean McVay was the toast of the NFL, a coaching wunderkind and whiz kid play-caller on his way to leading his team to the Super Bowl. A year later, Sean McVay is trying to keep the teetering Rams from falling out of playoff contention. That could happen if thby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
He needs to improve his accuracy from 40-49 yards. "44-yard field goal attempt with 15 seconds left went wide right by inches for a 30-29 loss to the Seahawks" Still, i share with you the importance of a good kicker who has won pressure playoff games before cannot be understated. Re-sign him Rams!!!by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
To the Bad or Ugly column: - An 8 minute drive in the 4th quarter? I don't care what the stats are, an 8 min drive in 4Q sets you up for a loss. - A lack of creativity on Offense. McVay must come up with new ways to attack the defense. Why no slants? I remember Sammy Watkins making a living doing that in 2017.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Talib has always expressed his opinion and comes off well here. I wonder if he'd come back to the Rams to play for the minimum next year? Would Sean/Wade even want him back?by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Okay so I'm no expert when it comes to calling football plays, but it seemed to me that when opponents play the 6-1, there is no MLB (nor any LBs for that matter). Couldn't a simple slant get big yardage? I saw that the middle was wide open yesterday when TB lined up. what am i missing here?by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I like the ability to pick and choose which parts of a thread to read. the modern approach eliminates that. I also am rarely on my phone, ironically since it's harder to read. Tablet/laptop/desktop is the way to go. Please keep it as is.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I feel that it is greatly underrated that he ran 22 pass patterns in college. Can he indeed backup Cooper Kupp and Todd Gurley? With his speed and moves, that would be a incredibly valuable asset. Now, is he a good enough route runner remains to be seen, but color me excited to see him in the preseason.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that the Rams will improve over the season, hopefully playing their best ball in December. This is due to the rookies naturally adjusting to what the coaches expect and responding to the faster pace of pro ball over college. Plus, it will take time for groups like the OL to mesh - I don't expect them to come out of the gate ready to play, unless McVay gives them decent reps together iby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
He'd take the Rams and Goff over Wilson and the Seahawks over the next 5 years. He gives cred to Wilson for what he's done in the past but not what's to be expected in the near future. Gotta love itby RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
Anyone notice how Goff's glove is in hi right hand? Does he play golf left handed? Ambidextrous... interestimg!by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would attribute Snead's improvement from McVay's precision is dictating exactly what player attributes he seeks. This came up when McVay was first hired - Snead was enthusiastic (to say the least) in McVay's ability to state what kind of players he wants and then show video of what he means by that.by RamsFanSince69 - RamsFootballFans.com
