Like Anderson. Great RBs are very hard to find but a great OL can make an average one look good.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
I would take you in Round 1, high floor, hard worker, intelligent, knows the schemes, understands both O and D and motivates us all. And probably hits like a Big Bud tractor! Thank you, DP.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
NFL Network reporting that they are not looking at Jones but Dwayne Haskins. He is a local guy, grew up just outside of DC. He actually committed to Univ of MD but changed it to Ohio St. They have also contacted all of the teams ahead of them to get a feel for what it might take to move up for him. I think they may just stay at 15 and hope he's still there. The Giants or Broncos may want Haskinsby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotejemach but you don't know that. The Redskins may have some intel that says differently. Remember, the Giants are up there. I have no idea...but I remember when the Chiefs moved up for Mahommes...I thought they were crazy...then again, I didn't study Mahommes. Which is probably the reason I said "based on what I have heard". That would tend to imply that I don't know that.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
That doesn't make a great deal of sense...Jones could be had much later in the draft based on what I have heard. He may turn out great but by all accounts he is a project QB, not a franchise one.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
White is the only player in this draft that I might consider trading up for if I had that power. He reminds me of Ray Lewis.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
I am completely in on Winovich and discussions of any others at 31 (or later if they trade back) will not be tolerated within my limited cranial capacity! :laughing The only other two players I was ever completely sold on as Rams before a draft were Champ Bailey (that Holt kid turned out okay though) and Troy Polamalu (I almost broke my TV when they took Jimmy Kennedy four picks before Troy).by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Lawrence was part of that super Clemson line and as you noted, both Ferrell and Wilkins had tremendous success too. I have not watched their games closely but how often was their success due to Lawrence being a focus of the OL which allowed the other two to have even more success? If you can't stop all three, one or two of them would be expected to have great seasons. As is, it appeared all 3 plaby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Excellent read, thank you! I am really concerned about drafting Tillery though. He has so many red flags I think he would be a big risk for a 1st rounder. He certainly has the physical skills and a high ceiling. Very smart, graduated with a Business degree in his Jr. year. However this would be a major dice toss considering his attitude (was not well liked by teammates), his torn labrum (had surby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
They have Lawrence, our consensus 31 pick on this board, as the #5 player overall with a comp to Haloti Ngata. Wow, if he fell to the Rams that would be a major steal based on these rankings! Thanks, 43.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Talib: 6-1, 202: Shutdown CB, best in the country as a Jr. Besides his great cover skills, Talib had 9.5 tackles for loss in his career and isn't afraid to make a tackle (61 tackles this season, 157 in his career). Projected as a big-time hitter in the pros if he added more weight. Believed to also be capable of a move to free safety, where he was compared to Brian Dawkins. At the combine, Talibby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Matthews went 1-26 in '09. Chase won't be there by the third, early 2nd at the latest. Ideally would be a trade down about 10 spots for him with an extra 3rd rounder but...we shall see! :)by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
...or Kevin Greene. I will take a clone of either one at 23 years old.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
It they should trade down seems silly to ask before the draft since the answer won't be known until late on Day 1. It is completely contingent on their board and if another team covets somebody in that spot that they want more than the Rams do.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
He ran the 40 at the combine at 4.37 seconds, Deion at 4.22. So he's fast but Greedy didn't look very good in the field drills and showed some issues in his technique. He reportedly lacks instincts and awareness and doesn't play as fast as he runs. He did not do well against either Georgia or Alabama last year but they can make anyone look badly. He also doesn't do well in a zone or off-man coverby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
It is completely a matter of expectations to me. I was disappointed and really wanted some revenge on the Pats but...I have it in perspective, I think. The Rams were 4-12 in 2016, had fired Fisher and hired a rookie HC. I didn't know what to expect but hoped that it could only get better and if they could end up 8-8 then it would be major improvement. In fact, a new coach should have 3 years tby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
This is as good or better than anything else I have seen from the "experts". A lot of thought and work went into this and I will definitely use it as a resource in two weeks. Thank you! :worthyby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm with you. It would be like the Obo situation last year. Are we willing to wait to see what we have? No choice with Obo but there is a clear one here and it's a position of immediate need.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't recall seeing this much hype over a running QB going first since RGIII. And Murray is much smaller.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
He's their kind of player. They will attempt to trade back for him but will not hesitate to take him at 31 if they cannot find a partner.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Any opinion could be considered biased by anyone that disagrees with it. Former players are typically far more candid than current ones since the latter could face serious consequences including losing their job. Especially if talking about the QB (see Antonio Brown). Typically if someone is lying, it is for a reason and some sort of gain from it. I see none here, what is past has passed.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
If this were an article without attributing any of it to those that were actually there like Jennings, you may have a point. There were even some explaining or excusing Rodgers and McCarthy so it did provide some balance. However, considering that I have not yet seen any argument from those quoted, I would lean toward it being true based on the results. Conclusions are left for the reader to deciby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Actually I agree. How about Elvis living with Michael Jackson and Tupac in a cabin near Portland? :confused :lolby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam You know, because journalists in all walks have long ago given up credibility in return for sensationalism and Fake News, when I hear this kind of stuff I take it with about 5 pounds of salt. I have no reason to disbelieve the named or even unnamed sources but the proof is on the field and the performance. Journalists today are driven by editors to the sensationalism but that hasby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
6-3, 256....I think he is more than just a high motor player. 18 reps of 225 4.64 40 — ranking him at third among the edge rushers, fourth overall among the defensive linemen. 6.94 in the 3 cone, third highest among defensive linemen 4.11 in the short shuttle, the best time among all DL there. He may be limited athletically, but he sets the edge very well and may just need some refinementby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
