QuoteRamsfan1971 Do we have any stats from the game or games he used a glove? Was he successful or was it a disaster. I do not remember him using a glove. Is that the Bronco game we lost Kupp to a knee injury in 2018? If I remember correctly, we ran all over the Broncos that game. 14-28 201 1 int we win 23-20 gurley goes for 208 so he can hand off quite well with gloves on.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBearlyThere McVay took a calculated risk that he'd only need 1 QB against Seattle and it turned out he needed two. Bortles was just picked up off a PS and though he was with the team last year, new OC, new calls and a few new players. He wasn't going to be very effective with 3 days with the team. Now he's had a week+ and it makes sense to get him his own game plan and set of playsby nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsfan1971 Quotemoklerman Warner didn't wear the gloves at the start of '05 and eventually got benched for continuing fumbling issues. He had lost his job and looked to be done. But, by game 15, he was given another chance due to injury and he came into the SF game in relief and looked like his old self. Mainly because he had donned the gloves and wasn't a fumbling wreck anymore. Now, Iby nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
Now you have to prepare for Bortles? He has a similar skill set with mobility and is much bigger at 6'5" 230ish. I know Bortles has his wartles but he does have a 2-1 record in playoffs and was a game away from Superbowl also with a really talented defense with the jags.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com

Back in the day qbs stayed away from gloves because when they were wet they would become slick and you lose a little feel for the ball. Today's glove are a lot different with the texture and give more grip unlike the old leather neumann gloves. As a wr I only liked gloves in cold games as long as it was dry.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
The Patriots game plan is what we need for success in the playoffs. I really liked seeing Everett as FB I would like to see him run some wheel routes out of the backfield and give him a handoff it two and use him like Patriots used Hernandez.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield I don't think this game will be won or lost on Goff. IMO it will be based on the defense and Gay. I think place kickers win this game. We can't expect our D to shutdown the number 1 qb, number 1 wr, number 1 offense. If our D shuts them down that would be phenomenal but let's be realistic we just need them to limit there output. We need our O to take some pressure off the defensby nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteCarolinaRam Even if Goff is only 50%, Wolford has not practiced all week. No way we start Wolfman. I think the cat is out of the bag on our QB situation. Unless this is a huge smoke screen from Mcvay. I have not seen any mention of Bortels practicing either? Yeah who is getting the second team reps? Perkins or Bortles? Also I would assume Perkins is are emergency covid qb but that couldby nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the majority of people feel he will get the start here. All the signs are pointing to him starting except for good old cowherd. He has been a full participant in practice, he played last game and managed to come out without further injuring his finger according to Goff himself. I see no reason to not start Goff, and the medical issue is now mute since Wolford isn't even practicinby nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
Take it into halftime. I suggest we take the ball first even if we win the toss I will take the extra possesion in the first half to increase chances of taking the lead into halftime.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree that would be most logical thing to do right especially if Goff is injured. Why isn't he doing this then. And if he fails to activate Bortles this game what does that say knowing his other two QBs have ongoing injuries.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamgator Goff IS injured. No matter what Goff, McVay or the Media / fans have to say, he did not start last week only because his thumb was not right. I bet it is no better than last Saturday and probably worse. It's a matter of Biology. His thumb is FAR from healed. Goff with a bum thumb in frigid conditions can NOT be a good thing. McVay knows that if Goff goes out there and fumbles a timeby nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com

I would say if McVay says that he is going to try and get Goff more involved in the game he is done. He says that about everyone he is about to cut or trade, Gurley, Cooks, Tavon, Everett, not looking good for Jefferson either.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotezn Quotenicecatchellard Your avoiding the question should he start this week or not? And if Wolford starts what does that say? Is Bortles going to be active this week? Is somehow Goff regressing on his recovery after he said he is getting better every week and feels good? We can take for granted and as utterly assumed that this is a medical decision. Quotemax Well, here’s another respected voice saying Goff should start if his thumb checks out. Just said it on NFLC. Talked about other stuff in the game too. Someone can post the video later I hope. More important what if he doesn't start???? What does that say about the confidence and relationship between Goff and McVay. Quotepromomasterj I'm not sure it's ready for this weekend either. He gutted it out, came in and made a few throws - including one where Cupp bailed him out big time. He didn't turn it over, which is a plus. Other than that it was very clear some of his passes were way off - floating, shot-putting - just plain ugly. Supposedly they saw that at practice - every 4th throw or so came out weird.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteClassicalwit Me too, I scrolled almost to the end before it got picked up. It's amazing what you can write or say and have people pick it up and run with it before they start asking questions. QuoteDaJudge ...and Silver didn't say anything close to "McVay doesn't think Jared Goff processes quick enough." Then what did he say? They are not on the same page and they don't see the same thing and McVay Is frustrated by this. And you think that has nothing to do with how Goff processes the plays and reads a defense. Or is he speaking literally and he means that McVay can read anby nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
That guy had 96 yds and two tds also against us. Went for 1300 yds and 10tds in regular season. I didn't like his attitude either but I would take him in a heart beat.by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemax I’m not interpreting anything. You misquoted Silver as saying McVay doesn’t think Goff processes quickly enough. That misleads people. I don't think I'm misleading with that statement that the two don't see the field the same. If you don't think that has to do with processing the coverage, alignment and progressions in plays than what does it mean?by nicecatchellard - RamsFootballFans.com
