I fully support and appreciate McVay but I think his ego is writing checks that his coaching can't cash. We have all seen some of his blind spots during the past couple of years. He's also caught on, albeit too slowly, and made changes. I think his ego is invested in Wolf, just as his ego was in trickly gadget players like Tutu. He missed the OLine boat two drafts ago and as some have eby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I voted QB, if a good one is available. The reason being that the highest RoI for the 1st two rounds are the skill positions, primarily QB and WR. I think Stafford's going to be the walking wounded from here on out so why not get someone capable of becoming a great QB who can take the reins a year or two or three from now? If a good one isn't available then OL for sure.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
block and catch passes but he is not going to be a featured RB.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I worked for a German owned business and they looked down on Americans and America. When they would get rid of us they would say, "We're going to enable you to get a fresh start." The regular German engineers and such were ok, but when they got into management that superiority thing would kick in after about a year or so and a guy who was once great to work with became cold, harsh, anby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I totally understand your sentiment, but if I were Whit I'd say, "Hell no!" Why should he take more head shots and brain damage? Why should he suffer more bone, body, and joint injuries. He's got enough money and he's got a ring and should be in the HoF. Life is too precious.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He looks the same as he did in LA. He occasionally drops a catchable pass or two, just like he did here. I think Goff and him are synced up better now and Goff looks comfortable throwing to him. I don't think the Rams lost much by letting him go. We have an outstanding stable of WRs. Too many in fact.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes that's what I thought but one of them, Muhammad, who tells me he's spent the majority of his life following the NFL says, in fact he promised me, that the Rams are going to wipe the field with the 9ers. He told me to place a big bet on the Rams because he knows they will win, in fact he guaranteed it. He says he has inside info that the 9ers clubhouse is in deeper turmoil than people realizby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Only if they said glowing things about the Rams. "How can you tell if a sports writer is lying?" "His lips are moving."by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
My good friends Alfred E. Neuman, Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, Moses Horwitz, his brother Jerome Horwitz, and their good friend Louis Feinberg all expressed a great deal of confidence in the Rams. We were having lunch together yesterday and they all assured me that the Rams are going to clean the 9ers clocks. I expressed some skepticism and said it is going to be a hard game but they talked oveby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I get a real kick out of Skow's block on JJ Watt. So humbling for a big DE to be laid low by a WR. LOL.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
So interesting to have the scheme's examined and explained. Thank you.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Jim, Since you and a couple others have posted a more detailed explanation and justification of Morris's defensive scheme I have to ask "How much soft is too much soft?" The philosophy of stopping chunk plays, the "Fangio," makes much more sense now. But my goodness, the Rams' DBs were so far off the LoS I thought, they might as well not even bother to run the play and justby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Ok 43, I voted yes. You can send me the 20 bucks now. I'm just a poor boy from a poor family and I need the cash.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've kept an eye on him just to see if he's a genuine improvement over Reeder and he definitely is. Better tackling for sure. He's made our Run D stronger. There is no reason not to expect him to make a nice difference against the 9ers.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've watched Goff and so far I think he's good but not great. He still makes some pretty bad throws and he doesn't see the entire field and find good options to throw to. I think the system they're giving him is helping him, that and a very good O Line. The Detroit defense isn't as bad as advertised. Their head coach is a pretty bad when it comes to game management and he's put his defense,by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I know this is our Rams' board but since I'm a Rams' fan and I live in the Detroit area and I've always liked Goff I thought I'd share my thoughts on him and his Det. experience. 1) Getting Stafford was the best move for the Rams. As much as I like Goff, he ain't no Stafford. 2) Goff has looked ok so far but nothing exceptional. Last year they brought in a offensive play caller type coachby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

The Rams dominated both Atl and Ari until later in both games. They simply called off the dogs too early as they did similarly in 2021. Skow is not a below ave. WR. He caught 4/4 in the last game. He's good, not great, but this is still his 2nd year, give him time. He's definitely improved since last year. So no, this is not a case of being fortunate, this is a case of being better, obvby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm glad to see we're coming out on top this early in the season! I'm beginning to forget that I'm supposed to be a doubting pessimist.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I believe we will beat SF next week but I would not underestimate Jimmy G. For the most part he, and the 9ers, have kicked our asses the last 3 years or so. They seem to get up more for us than we do for them and they've always played harder. I think McVay is coaching like a M1A2 and I honestly feel more confident in him than ever.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I also thought the Refs missed a lot of calls that would have gone our way. It seemed to me that Ari got the benefit most of the time. I also don't like the soft D that Morris plays. Kyler Murray is an overrated QB and he looked mediocre last night. A better, or least a consistent, QB would have done better and picked us apart. Sometimes our corners were playing it seemed like more than 10by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Are you Looking For Group? Or do I play too much Everquest?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Anybody know how long before we get to see Malcolm Brown come in? How does it work, going from being picked up on waivers, put on the practice squad, and then playing in an actual game? I remember him as being a hard charging RB who often moved the pile a little and was always a pleasure to watch.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I hate to admit this but what you said sounds damn right to me. Robinson hasn't shined or lived up to the hype. I'm hopin he just needs more time to become acclimated.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Holy Moly, when are they going to learn how to kill teams! It's like, "Ok, first quarter and we can see we got this. I wonder what I'm going to have for dinner tomorrow night...."by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
These Rams are like Hatch Green Chilies. You think, "This one won't be too hot." then you take a bite and howl, "On why did I do that, when am I ever going to learn!" I still feel pretty good about this team. McVay seems to be coaching up a storm and Snead just brought in M. Brown as RB. I think our brain trust is on top of their game.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
