People be like, NFL is rigged.. expecting GB to win. Now they will say that the NFL is rigged, wanting the Seahawks in the playoffs. Can't win with conspiracy theorists.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
There was a tackle in the game he had, sort of similar to the Hamlin tackle where he was tackling high and the offensive guy barreled into his chest. Wonder if that was the play.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

Why use a second time out to stop the clock before the 2min. Then get the ball, get 2 yards and let the clock run down to 2 min. Better to have 2nd and 8 with 1:55 on the clock with 2 time outs left vs 2nd and 8 with 2:00 on the clock with 1 time out left. bad time managementby h2omelonhead - Game Time Forum
Eagles schedule is soft. the combined records of teams they have faced so far is 78-86. And it will get worse since they play the Bears next. They have not played anyone in the creme of the crop of the AFC. Compare that to Buffalo who has a 10-3 record against opponents with a combined W/L of 90-79. And that could have higher if the Rams weren't 4-9. But then they'll get the Bears tooby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm expecting that Baker may have leeway in the short term, but probably not in the long term. DCs have enough history on Baker to understand his overall tendencies. Now they have to marry that with McVay's system to adapt fully. Right now, too small of a sample size. But I would imagine that the adaptation will be quickerby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Just like how teams are starting to figure out Geno and the Seahawks... teams will figure out Purdy. He threw some bad balls in the game last night and Seahawks didn't take advantage. Give Belichick some tapes on Purdy and I'm sure he can game plan for him. But key is that niners Defense as they will keep the offense in the game.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Looks like I'm gonna watch these games differently. TV on, muted, Radio on for Troy Santiago. He can make a 7-3 game exciting.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
I have felt that Rams should go the wristband. Too many times have I seen the play clock run down because the play call comes in late. The wristband would save maybe 2 seconds which could prevent some time outs being lost. Also give that extra 2 seconds for the QB to change protectionsby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Saw that play... I had my eye on #95 as I thought, who was that guy that pushed the center back and held that ground? That stood out to me as that would make the RB declare earlier on what hole he is going to hit. Which then gave the LBs more clarity on the gap. Where #93 was.. need to avoid that. Wagner was everywhere. still good.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Have to remember that Raiders probably weren't prepared to game plan against Baker. People harp on that Baker arrived 48 hours before the game and didn't have a complete walkthrough. At the other side, Raiders were done with their game plan against Perkins/Wolford. So to implement something against Baker in less than 48 hours was probably unlikely. I highly doubt that they would have goby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
And your point is? Raiders are the 9th best scoring offense in the league at 24.3 PPG. Rams are 29th at 16.8 PPG It's not like the defense was going up against Denver.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJimYoungblood53 Quoteh2omelonhead Who liked to see that Press Man with a Safety bail on that last drive, especially that last play? Baker did. . Bracketed the crosser (#3 receiver) in and out - man everywhere else with a safety in middle of field, not on the hashes. exactly, talk about bad situational awareness... that was nuts to see that called.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Saw a different angle.. and it's even worse. They congested the middle with their safeties over lapping each other and left both outside Go routes in pure press man. Wow.. that is a complete lack of situational awareness. There's only time for 2 shots.. a pass in the middle in almost game over. Need to protect the sidelines but instead they were more worried about the deep middle. Iby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that messed up the Raiders Game Plan on Defense. As if they were prepping for Perkins or Wolford, they would sag the safety down and play more man coverage. As there is little threat for the deep ball, especially with Wolford. Baker comes in and Raiders probably didn't change their game plan much as they didn't expect the Rams to take the deep shots. But it's Baker.. so those shotsby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Who liked to see that Press Man with a Safety bail on that last drive, especially that last play? Baker did. What on earth was the Raiders D Coordinator thinking? Maybe taking pointers from folks here lol. Play the shell with the touchdown lead, 15 seconds and ball at the 25. That's a D Coordinator out-thinking himself.. trying to be cute/different when not needed for that situation.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

Manning is amazing. Yes, his explanation would fall in category 4. But that is reserved for elite QBs who really see the game :) Sometimes the defense gets lucky. If it can get lucky many times by making mistakes, then to a casual fan, the DC would look like a genius.. but in reality, it was a lucky mistake.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
So much of defense is about recognition. So many people focus on the scheme, but players have to make it work. When you have a secondary that can't recognize and anticipate what the routes are going to be, then you lose that aggression as well. This is where sometimes I look at the safeties and I think... yeah, they are in the right spot based on the scheme.. but if they recognized the playby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
First half of this season, I don't think the defense regressed that much. The main difference is that without a prolific offense, the defense has to handle the entire game plan of the opponent's offense. Teams with prolific offenses tend to play conservative on defense. The reason is, they know the offense can score touchdowns, so the defense just has to limit explosive plays and hold the otby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, maybe too stubborn to change things up. Or maybe the offensive line is so bad, even in practice, that every DL wins in their 1:1 so everyone looks good. Makes it harder to see who stands out. Bring back Whit for 1:1 talent evaluation of the DL :) I'm sure he can tell who is good/who is not.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Yep. I posted before how after reviewing All 22, I saw Robinson open and Stafford just doesn't see him. People started to post some stats that show that Robinson has a low yards of separation, but I questioned the calculation and interpretation of that stat. The vids don't lie... he's open and Stafford is fixated somewhere else. Like, he's already pre-determined where the ball is going thinkby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
sucks for players that have bonuses tied to player and team performance. I'd be pissed if a big part of my contract were performance bonuses and the team deliberately tanks. Players don't want to tank. It's a business.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Interesting that Kupp gets injured the week after he called out that Grass should be used for Football games, not Turf. And then Stafford gets a concussion.. maybe on Turf. Will the Rams make a move on the Field situation?by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Never knew that they taught running backs to block their own linemen in the back. WTF was Henderson doing on that sack fumble? You chip the defender, not your own tackle.by h2omelonhead - Game Time Forum
Could be, but we just don't know unless we are in the locker room with the coaches and teams. It's all just speculation and playing these "what if" games really doesn't do anything. If we can jump between different dimensions and play the game with Rochelle, then yes, we can then see what the outcome would have been.. but life doesn't work that way yet.
