We will learn a lot about this team and coaching staff tonight - good or bad. The defense better show up and the offense better show some production in the first quarter.by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com

I was surprised to see him getting reps in the 4th quarter with the game well in hand. They may be managing his touches, but they can't be too concerned. I'll reserve judgement on his top gear until I see him get loose in the open field. There were reports from training camp that he his top speed was a good as ever.by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
In the AZ game Goff was 19/24 for 240 yards and 1 TD - with 2 sacks for -24 yards. He had a higher passer rating in the AZ game than the KC game. But so what?? The Rams rushed 41 times for 269 yards and 3 TDs. He wasn't as "productive" because the Rams were running down AZs throat all game long. He wasn't asked to be "productive". That's why the chart in the OP needs conby CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
Probably a few reasons, including scheme. But I think we all noticed that Suh played a lot harder in the playoffs than the regular season.by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
It covers the games with bad passer ratings Goff had after the bye week and puts them in context of the actual game on the field. You can take it however you want. Do you think he actually had a crap game against NO or Dallas considering the circumstances????by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
Stats are always interesting, but they are worthless without context. There are too many variables to look at passer rating in a vacuum without considering the extenuating circumstances from opponents to offensive and defensive game plans to the health of key players. I'm not making any claims here about whether or not Goff is regressing. But adding context to some of the late season passer ratinby CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com

Defensive line: C+ Aaron Donald had one tackle and one quarterback hit but was shut out of the sack column as the Panthers did a good job neutralizing him. dot Outside linebacker: B+ Dante Fowler Jr. led all NFL players in pass rush win rate Sunday, according to Next Gen Stats, and bagged his first two sacks of the season.by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
Every team will be taking the same track. Right up until McVay and Goff show that they have adapted. This will be about midway through the second quarter on Sunday :)by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
This is Prisco's prediction. Good news for the Rams cuz he usually gets it exactly backwards when picking Rams games. So my prediction is Cam finds a way to lose it for the Panthers. 2+ picks, 3+ sacks. After letting Kamara eat them up in the first half of the NFC championship game the Rams found a way to slow him down. They will come out of the gate treating McCaffrey the same way and limiby CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
Blythe played center throughout college and was a finalist for the Rimington as a senior. I thought he mostly played well at G last year although he did seem to fade at the end. At least we know what we get with Blythe on the inside. We'll have to see about Vitas. I'd like to see him against some 2s instead of 3s and 4s. I haven't noticed - has Blythe been getting snaps in preseason? If not, Iby CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
He doesn't step into his throws when he has plenty of time and space to do so. Some guys can get away with throwing off of their back foot or throwing with just their arm instead of their body. He's not one of those guys and this is why he throws high so often. Not good thing in the NFL.by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
I haven't seen David Long mentioned much on the forum during camp or his name called much during the Cowboys game.by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com

I always look forward to preseason, not because I think the preseason games are great, but because it means the regular season is on the horizon. It's hard to tell much about the TEAM during preseason but you can get a feel for some of the individuals. Honestly though, in recent years the games suck because we've had a scrub running the offense, sorry Sean... This year will be different thoughby CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
I do have some favorite INDEPENDENCE DAY songs. All from 1776 which is great by the way and I kinda really hate musicals. The Egg But Mr. Adamsby CeeZar - Bucky's Pub
Peters and Brockers are unlikely. Peters because they will want to see better play than last year after some time in the system. And I doubt he will sign anything that isn't pretty high-dollar, something the Rams are unlikely to offer, at least until they see his play during the season. Brockers because he would be expensive to extend and the Rams will want to see how the young DTs perform durby CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree there is evidence. I said there is "little evidence". QuotePHDram albeit not conclusive. moreover, you did say that its "clear from that article that there is little statistical significance once you get above 52% and really not much difference down to 48%". you can assign significance if you want, but its NOT clear. Yeah, I stand by that. Between 52% and 59% tby CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't assume no significance. I said little evidence. Given the small sample size and lack of supporting data. I don't think there is any way to draw the conclusion that getting close to 60% is in any way optimal. We can say with certainty that is NOT common as less than 14% of the teams go over 55% which works out to 4.5 teams/year on average with even less teams near the 60% mark. The .by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
He advocates spending up to 60% on only 9 players. Which means the 10th takes it over 60%. Which according the referenced article historically teams that do that average 5.5 wins. Pretty clear. It is also clear from that article that there is little statistical significance once you get above 52% and really not much difference down to 48%. I do recall this myth being repeated many times but I don't recall anyone actually diving into the numbers. Perhaps you can provide a link to such a thread. It would be an interesting read. In fact, this is the first time I've seen a thread that actually has the link to the article which makes sense since it doesn't support the myth, it actually debunks it. About that article... Quotezn One good argument for how it works is, teams spend up to 60% of their cap on 10 high contract players. .... More of a myth than a "good argument". Which team spends 60% of their cap on just 10 players? None that I could find, but I didn't check each team. Perhaps you can provide some evidence for this mythical claim...by CeeZar - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, if you have an appleTV, you can get HBO No or HBO Go, I forget which, and watch all the old Game of Thrones to start from the beginning. I think they are even offering a free week so you could try it and see. Harry Potter + LOTR is a decent description, I guess. Not perfect, but close enough. It really is a well done show from top to bottom, IMHO. Personally, I think they are a bit overby CeeZar - Bucky's Pub
