First of all, when I was a teen living in Wichita, Kansas, I wasn't allowed to hang out. My parents forbid it so I didn't do it. They felt like it's just trouble waiting to happen. They weren't entirely wrong. But for most teens in Wichita back in MY day, the hangout was a couple of hamburger joints along Douglas Blvd. Hanging out was primarily on Friday and Saturday nights, though. All good here. They'd been saying all week that Wednesday was gonna be a day treacherous weather. It wasn't, at least not in St. Louis. It got a bit windy and we had some rain, but no tornadoes came through my neck of the woods. But there's still the problem for a surfer of what to do with their keys, phones, etc while they're out in the water. They can't take that stuff with them. Hiding it on land isn't fool-proof either. So, what do they do? And any kind of event, i.e., concerts, church services, school functions, sporting events, that would leave vehicles unattended for hours are fair game for thieves. They came through Missouri Friday night. There was some damage in the St Louis area. About 10 miles southeast of us and a lot of damage in an area about 30 miles northeast of us. My daughter lives about 2 miles from us (we live in the same town) and they sustained hail damage in the siding on their house. From what we can tell, our house was unscathed.
