whats your point? you said "Snead's job description seems more powerful when it comes to football decisions". im suggesting that both kroenke and demoff are more "powerful" despite NOT making "football decisions" given their placement in the hierarchy of the organization. i didnt say he fired fisher. i said he hired mcvay. and both both were of course done with the blessing of kroenke. hes the owner and demoff report to him. i guess i that that was obvious.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
so kroenke does not acquire players (snead) or coach (mcvay). does kroekne have any power?by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
you think demoff has no power? ok. damn! id like to get paid that slary to just be kroenkes delivery man.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
1. umm..my "empirical evidence" is the same as yours. watching and reading about the rams. againt the differnt is that you apparently what to take a statement on face value rather than using logic to asses its validity. 2. maybe. but once again. people WILL disagree. its inevitable. there will NEVER be 100 percent agreement on 100 percent of cases. NEVER. 3. im not trying to sby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
his title is actually Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President of Football Operations. his job description on the rams website indicates that he is the "top front office executive and liaison to owner and chairman, Stan Kroenke, on all organizational matters". to me, it sounds like he is the #2 person behind stan. while he may not be evaluating players in the strict seby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i have no idea what that means. im combining what i have read and heard from the same "years worth of evidence" that you have observed with what i know about human behavior. I come to a different conclusion because you just read text on a page without trying to understand the context within which it is said. imo that "path" is naive and unrealistic. but overall you are pby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
imo. Life doesnt work that way because people are not robots. they are often irrational, emotional or simply approach issues from different points of view. These differences inevitably lead to disagreements and no matter how much consensus building one tries, there will be times where it just doesnt work, like now for instance. you can keep talking your talk, but i have interpreted what i haveby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i acknowledge that in a perfect world the draft runs the way you suggest in #1 and that it may possibility run that way in real life. the problem i have is that the world is NOT perfect. well meaning and congenial people will disagree even after hours of a consensus building process. for example in 2013 the draft went 1 Jadeveon Clowney 2 Greg Robinson 3 Blake Bortles 4 Sammy Watkinsby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
I think I agree but my retort would be that he already demonstrated he is a "super bowl caliber qb" as a 3 year pro and should continue to progress. Not sure i would extend him this year only because the have alot of others to attend to but pending a carr type collapse I think signing long term is a no brainer.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
If you let both Talib and Peter's go they would have a glaring need at CB. I dont think they will let that happen. Hence they will either sign or franchise peters, sign Talib to contract similar to the weddle deal or go after some else in fa/trade. The option they choose they will dictate how high they draft a cb imo.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree Bortles is way better than mannion. Moreover not sure trading him is an option but I bet you can get a third round comp pick. As being discussed qb sign for crazy money. Even competent backups.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure on Cousins but I am sure that Goff is good enough to at least get to the super bowl as he has obviously done it as a third year pro. I think I'm willing to take my chances that he will continue to develop to the point where he can win one as opposed to desperately searching for the next greatest qb of all time. To add to that it may be I'm projecting my own thoughts here but appears to mby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
The Redskins are in now at qb. First they spent a ton on cousins anyway to only delay the inevitable. Now they are paying Smith a ton of money and he may never play a down again. That forced them to trade for good ol CK AND spend draft capital on another qb who may or may not be any good. Plus they haven't even sniffed the post season. Doesnt seem like a good way to go to me.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
What on earth has Bortles done that Goff has not?by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
maybe...but if he does what you say youre still spending 30 million on a qb in the very near future.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
certainly possible, but im not sure its necessary. they seem to be ok with cap space this year unless thye want to sign someone else. but no one out there is really an impact signing.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
what would you do to secure a qb? you want to draft one? thats fine....then we will waste the prime years of gurley, donald, woods, and cooks waiting around for THAT guy to be ready to take this team to the superbowl IF they pick the RIGHT guy. in addition, we will likely have to trade up to get a good one so we will lose a significant amount of draft capital in the process. sign one as aby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com

I dont see them signing Littleton. They seem little inclined to pay anyone at the ilb position. Plus as a former UDFA I think he will want to get paid as much as possible.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com

the rams have numerous free agents they need to re-sign prior to next year. its a lot to get down prior to the march fa period. i think it would be a good move to get 1 or 2 done now. that being said goff is not a fa next year. i agree he can wait. QuoteLMU93 I really don't see a reason to extend any of them this summer. Do Goff's deal and Littleton next spring. Peters needs to earn his inby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
imo if they are going to sign brockers at all, they will do it this off season. they know what they are getting with brockers. I good dependable player if not an all star. he will likely cost in the 12 million/per year range. to me the only question is would you rather JFM take over that spot at a lower rate and then draft some depth. brockers is not really a pass rusher so i think it is a diby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
