Is it possible that some of those underthrows are the result of something other than lack of arm strength ... like not having his timing down with that particular WR so he simply throws to the wrong spot? Or perhaps he had trouble reading the play fast enough and threw to the right spot a split second too late? Any QB can throw a 30 yard pass when a 35 yard pass is called for: that doesn't neceby AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the games 4-6 make sense but I'll add my own 2 cents: Goff's first start will be at home so he has a home crowd behind him rather than having to deal with a hostile environment on top of everything else. Looking further, game 4 is at ARI & game 6 is at DET. But game 5 is at home against BUF. I think the Buffalo game will be Goff's first start. Personally I think Joyner and Sensabaugh are seeing so much action at CB so the rams can figure out whether either can play the position at the NFL level, not to see which one should start opposite TJ. As I see it TJ, Gaines, Hill, Roberson are the top four at CB and Joyner and Sensabaugh are in a battle for #5.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I always thought they did that so when they do run a play action pass the stuff the QB does won't stand out as something different. IOW if the QB only looks like he's passing on real play-action passes it would be easier for the defense to see that it's a pass. (Just my opinion ...)by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I get all of that, and I'm actually OK with it.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I, too, see Keenum starting against SF in week 1. This is the first offseason that Keenum went in as the #1 QB and the first camp that Keenum has gotten any reps with the 1's as far as I can remember. The environment has been good for his development and I for one am thrilled that the Rams don't have to toss Goff out there before he's ready. Go Rams!by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Technically it's 6 draft picks for a guy who hasn't beaten out Case Keenum thru 2 preseason games. There's a big difference between not having the talent to start and not being ready to start. Is there any doubt that Goff will be ready to start at some point? (I'd say 'no', maybe some would disagree.) And if it takes say 5 games into the regular season before Goff is ready what's the bigby AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Also, remember that if GRob had completed his college eligibility this would be his rookie season. I am confident that spending the last 2 years with the Rams was better preparation for this season than staying in college would have been. Go Rams!by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
To me it seems that if Bradford had stayed healthy or if Foles had at least met minimum expectations the Rams results would have been better. Tough to win in this league with a decent QB. Hopefully the Goff plan works out.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

Thanks to all for your help!! Not knowing how to decide between Huntington Beach, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, and Pasadena I decided to let price be a factor. I used Hotwire.com for my booking. After initiating a search for a hotel in Los Angeles I narrowed the results by only including hotels in those 4 neighborhoods. Then I sorted the results by price (lowest first). My son (26 years old) and I are going to LA for the Bills game and are making a 4-day weekend out of it (fly in to LAX Thu nite, take the redeye back Mon night). We'll have a car so we don't necessarily have to stay near the Coliseum. Interests: beach, local cuisine, brew pubs, rollercoasters, tourist attractions, National parks, live music. I heard somewhere (sorry, can't find a link) that the Rams are going with the 10-man defense this year. The logic as I understand it is that with one less player clogging up the field the other 10 guys can use their speed to get an edge on the offense.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

With the 20th pick in the 2010 NFL draft the Texans select Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State. Strong (25 reps), fast (sub 4.4), good cover guy, can return kicks, great footwork. Looked at RB Ryan Matthews, but value/need combo in Wilson too good to pass up.by AlbaNY_Ram - 6th Annual Herd Board Live Mock Draft

He is the most elite of the offensive linemen in this draft. Great size and speed for an offensive tackle. A player who can pass block and be a road grater when he is needed. Made the Oklahoma State offensive line much better than it actually was. Very strong with a solid base and good arm length.
