The 1970 Rams were predicted to go to the Super Bowl, and they got off to a great start with three straight dominant victories. I was very excited watching the 19-0 win over the Bills and the 37-10 win over the Chargers. Then the offense faltered in a 20-6 loss to the 49ers, and they lost a tough game to the Vikings 13-3 in their first-ever appearance on Monday Night Football. Despite playing only part of the season and having lousy mentors, Goff is in a much better situation than rookie season. Last year, he got playing time in the NFL, started to establish relationships with teammates, was exposed to an NFL style (meager as it was) offense for the first time, and proved to be fairly tough when getting hit in the pocket. This year, he has had a full off season to makeby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

My DVR choked on the final Sunday of the 2016 season, and I didn't get the Cardinals game. Does anyone have it on DVD? I'm looking for a wide screen version in standard def. If anyone has it and would like to make a trade, please pm. I have lots of Rams games to offer in trade. This is not the kind of game that I would want to watch, but I like to have all of the games for reference purposes. Youby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

It is true that you can't deduce anything about intelligence from the way someone talks. I grew up in the south, and lots of people have underestimated me on the basis of my accent, which isn't typical of an MIT educated scientist. I used to be very active in basketball and knew guys from the ghetto that had strong accents and dialects but were among the brightest I have ever known. There are some similarities between Sean McVay and Dick Vermeil. Both were hired for the first time as NFL head coaches in their 30s. Both are highly energetic, positive, and outgoing. Both are offensive minded. Both are willing to delegate authority and surround themselves with high-caliber coaches. Both are the types of leaders that build strong bonds with players that are based on mutual respeby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams have a new coach who is building a new offense. I wouldn't want to see them take a chance on a repeat offender whose best years are way in the past. It would be best to build the team conservatively and avoid allowing a stop-gap player to take away playing time from the young players who represent the future. Draft a WR at #37. I don't see how anyone could think that what happened to Tommy Kramer (see the above link) was a good thing. I had access to a copy of the CBS feed of that game, which includes discussion between Summerall and Brookshier during commercials. Unnecessary brutality in football may ultimately lead to its demise. In recent years, a great deal has come out about head injuries and how they affect the quality of life after football. This puts the future of football in jeopardy. A few major lawsuits down the line, it seems possible that high schools could start banning football. I think it's foolish for players to spend years developing theiby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Your post is right in line with my thoughts. No QB, and especially not a rookie QB, can be expected to succeed with a broken offensive line, a pathetic group of receivers, and perhaps the most inept offensive coaching staff in NFL history. The Rams have already made great progress in correcting these problems. There are still some needs on the line and at receiver, but they should be able to getby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Robert Quinn hasn't been the same since having a back injury. I don't know the details of the injury, but a case of sciatica during the past few weeks has opened my eyes regarding back problems. When can the franchise tag be rescinded? If it's anytime, I would like to see the Rams sign a good free agent CB to a long term deal and then rescind the tag on Johnson. That would open up more space to address other needs. Could this be a viable strategy?by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
That explains why the Rams always seem to be just sitting there at the beginning of free agency, when other teams snatch up the best players. They apparently think it's like the draft, in which each team has to wait its turn before taking a player. That's not how it works, Les. I'm surprised at how sluggish he looks in that video. I had been holding out hope that his subpar performance in 2016 was due to the overall poor offense of the Rams, but this makes me wonder if Gurley will ever return to the form that he showed in 2015.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The apparent effectiveness of an offensive line is highly dependent upon the effectiveness of the entire offense. When an offense is impotent and predictable, the opposing defense can often see what is coming and can afford to take risks. It's hard for an offensive line to build confidence in such a situation. If the defense is able to stack against the run, it is difficult for an offensive lineby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
