I think there's ego in there as well.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I will say I think we made a mistake trading Bojorquist and keeping Hekker. I'm all about loyalty. But the kid was awesome in preseason and Hekker was horrible (I know, hurt maybe) towards the end of last year, but currently Hekker is 2nd to last. We'll see as the year goes on, but also was like 1.5 in savings if we had cut him. What did we get a 7th? Meh.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Personally, I think the guy's a bum. But I'm gonna give him a few more games to prove me wrong.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I was actually happy with the Defense, they did not play completely off like they did versus the Colts, they seemed to mix it up a bit. Often there was only one DB playing really far off and the rest were pretty close to the LOS. They weren't just giving a free 7 yards every first down. Maybe they were giving 5, but I saw an adjustment to play a little tighter.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Definitely not in the red zone. One of McVay's old Achilles heal was going east and west and not north when the field gets tight.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know about you guys but I am not happy with this bend but don't break sh*t. We had the #1 defense and now we just let teams pass for 7-9 yards every 1st down because we just want to make sure they don't blow the top off of us??? With Darius Williams we have 2 of the best corners in the NFL. Just keep a deep safety and play aggressive attacking Defense. It's almost a prevent dby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Trying to be realistic, I see it going sort of like the Lions/Packers game. With the Rams keeping it tight for about 2.5 quarters but then the Bucs pulling away a bit toward the end. Rams 17, Bucs 28. The only other way I see it possibly going is a shoot out with both teams scoring in the 30's and last team with the ball wins.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Mcvay said in his press conference that he botched that play call. He said if makes a better call, they go get the TD or burn more clock and close out the game. Got little too cute there, didn't he?by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Has a certain something. Looks like he is more like Akers with the ability to find a hole when there really isn't much. Henderson, hopefully is ok, us more of a straight downhill runner. Hoping we'll see the same as last year, like with Akers, that Michel is the better all purpose back, but spelled by Henderson who can pound the rock, especially to wind down the games in the 4th qrtr.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Looks like all NFC west teams have a 65-70% game. So maybe 1 of us drops a game this weekend. Hopefull it's the 9'ers.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
The Packers used that against us and had Adams go across the field before the snap near the end zone and Ramsey got tied up. If they do this, they better have a way to opt out because it becomes difficult if everyone else is in a zone. If you can line up 1-1 on him, fine. If they bunch or move him pre-snap, just opt out.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sometimes it seems McVay is just trying to sell us that he made the right call and it was Goff, not him, that was holding us back. I'm not much for words. Let's see the product on the field on Sunday!! Will be at the game. 😎by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm ok to take our chances on the PS.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I do have a concern that part of the reason we won so many games with Goff is that he did not take too many chances and took what the defense gave him. Now, that may not win you too many playoff games or superbowls, but possibly was a big factor in winning so many regular season games. Even to some degree reigning in McVay a bit. With Stafford we may live and die by the sword. I think, liby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

Snead was pretty clear they wanted D'Wayne Eskridge and seattle grabbed him. I think this is just one of those years they lost the crapshoot figuring guys they liked would be there and they got snatched up. But imho, you generally should take the best player available, not the next best guy at the position you wanted someone at. The good news is we can now run the jet sweep a couple hunby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
But we take the cake with Gurley, Cooks and Goff's dead money. Feel like I'm missing one?by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Interesting that after watching the superbowl that Jarod Goff is more a Tom Brady style and Stafford more like Mahomes. And historically the more mobile gunslingers often win you a bunch of games throughout the year, but are usually hit and miss, and the consistency isn't there and they can lose you a critical game when their little circus act doesn't work that week. You need to win when it coby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Either we are in business and have a ligit team with Stafford, or we crash and burn and used up all our equity and have to rebuild, pushing a bunch of salaries to win now and being in worse cap hell in 2 years with no picks. I wish I couldn't say that I am leaning 60% towards the latter. This is a Hail Mary by Snead and mcvay after a huge mismanagement of the salary cap. I hope it woby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, apparently a big piece of their legacy was all these guys that their director of scouting brought in...and he's now with the Lions. Buy aside from that, they botched the Cooks, Gurley, and Goff deals and got lucky they found a way out of the Goff contract. Many ppl are lauding how we can restructure guys to make this work. But restructuring just means more cap hell in 2 years aby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Did I hear we have to forward $22Million of goffs salary?. And weren't we already $20 million above the cap? Are we in cap hell with no means to upgrade O'line, etc....?by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Watched highlights of stafford...almost every highlight has him shifting in the pocket to buy time to make a throw. An d a few where he scrambles around a bit. I like his mobility.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Understand the logic. There is some truth to time of possession helping your defense. But that is not the reason the Rams can't seem to get the ball off until 1 second left on every play. Gives me a heart attack all game. So frustrating. And that is not the reason we run 70% of our plays behind the line if scrimmage with a east west pass instead of north. And end up in tons of 3rd dowby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
The latest article said we Re burning our leverage by not backing him.... I'm sure we all agree. So we must just be taking the hit. In theory if we go with wolford and bring in a reasonable competition for him who cares about Goff's dead money, plus I thought i heard we get like $12 mil in cap? Use half on another QB and half on FA's, restructure Donald and boom, we're back.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sounds crazy, but I bring this up for a couple reasons... Mainly because we may not find anyone to take Goff off our Hands. Secondly, we could free up all that cap. Rogers would make same as Goff for another 2 years but then could be cut. And we would get all of the Donald Cap space. Aaron Donald is 30 years old in a few months and we could use the pick (I'm assuming they have one?) tby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
No, but Wolford can be that RPO guy to come in like Tasom Hill. And maybe a little Akers wild cat sprinkled in. Also, let's make sure Woods runs a jet sweep on every play, just to make him earn his money.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm the opposite. I was happy we made it past Seattle and knew we would be outgunned vs. the Packers. I am NOT excited about the future because this is the ceiling for this team. We will lose players in the off-season and just don't see McVay and Goff doing any better than this. Unless we get a new QB or coach, this team has been over-achieving for a few years now.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com
