Rams put up 440 yards agains the #1 D in the NFC. Passed and ran all over the place. 440 in 1979 would be like 550-600 in these days. Doug France did well enough and leroy--rest of the line and Tyler and Vinny dominated. Ya, they didn't get in the endzone, but it was great (they did score a td, BUT penalty). 1988 vs NY Giants (without LT).....dominated. 2001 at Carolina (Faulk 200 yardby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
The local announcers know the most in my opinion....at least in Bear land, they always had the inside scoop. The Rams with 2 TEs or 3 WRs will have some stuff the Saints didn't have.....we will get some yards, and I hope we get TDs, not 7 FGs this time....though 7 fgs may win it, too.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
What is you reasoning for this? Rams did well in Dallas....yes, Dallas is a lot better on D, but the Rams on O are much, much better, too. Blythe, Cooks, Goff and Everett will be a huge upgrade...yes,I know Dallas has a pro bowl corner, and 2 pro bowl level LBers + Lawrence at DE....ya, they are good. But 17 points at home....then this is a Bears game re-do--and then McVay and the whole team sby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopefully McVay does these!!by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Wel, that is a BIG problem...Sully and BLythe need big Jackie Slater games!by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree Dallas dominated Seattle's run game---however, Russ isn't going to throw the ball more than 20-25 times in many games....so, Seattle had no one to worry them with Byron Jones out there. Woods, Cooks and Everett and GUrley are a huge amount better in the passing game than what Seattle has 'from the pocket'. Seattle and Dallas are somewhat one dimensional.....they are not a top 5 passingby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams have a much better O line (Hav and Blythe), much better #1 WR, and Everett is rockin'. So, yep you got a good point on Dallas. And, Dallas is missing their all pro center and Dez (who destroyed Tru Jo) and they are missing Witten....who scored a big TD. What is your counter punch for Dallas?by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com

Why are those stats a surprise?by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams are the better team, overall. However, the Rams have trouble against a defense that is stout between the tackles. THe Rams offense has passed 'well enough' against teams with 1-2 great Edge rushers (Chargers, Chiefs an Saints for example). However, Fletch Cox, and Akiem from Eagles and Bears got in Goff's face---they were bad. And, the Rams couldn't go up the gut against the Saints in tby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
I understand you aren't 'sold'--either am I. However, Dallas has a mostly 1 dimensional offense. I think they focus on the run, and Dak will be forced to beat them. Don't forget the Rams have trouble with great DTs---and Dallas doesn't really have one, do they? So, Rams can control a game pretty well.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay lost some authority with all the things going on with the defense. Ya, he is the head coach, but all of us arm chair qbs know the personnel isn't all the problem. The 1 gap scheme with 2 ILBers who were safeties in college doesn't work against: Saints Eagles Dallas Seattle Why? THey all have smart, good O lines that can control versus a 1 gap 3-4 scheme. McVay can't get Wade toby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Stats have their place. With Talib the Rams never really played anybody good except Rivers (1/2 game) and Foles, who is mediocre anyway. Don't agree that these stats mean much. We will be more organized with him, and that means a lot against an avg QB like Dakarooksi.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Bad, bad hire..... Josh McD and many others prob are betterby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Fun stats...thanks. Peters and Talib faced Cooper 2x a year for 3-4 years or so......they know a little about him. Stop the run, make Dak win in...and lost Witten from last year, and Hurns. I think Rams will win. I think Rams can beat Saints, too.....we will have to see which Goffer shows up the GOlfer or the GOffer (Movie re: Cadie Shack)by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams should beat Bears.....but Trubisky will have a much, much better game...so, we need 24 points, at least to win---which at home the Rams may accomplish...may, might, can could, but not should, unless Kupp plays....oh boy, he is on IR, irght....there goes that :)by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Expecatations for a super bowl are a lot different than losing in the divisional round. With our Defense and GOff playing at C+ level, we have no chance. WIth Goff at Weeks 3-11 level we win the bowl. GOff has not shown anything near that level......watch the game, not the numbers. THis isn't Chicago, where they really believe they can win the bowl with Mitch.....lol. We know a bit more, becauby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks, I always appreciate these! Baker Mayfield looked phenomenal against the Ravens--- he will be a probowler for years to come. I would take him over most all QBs from the last 10 years--over A Luck and Wentz, and probably Goff. He is great. And, he has the NFL's worst LT: yep Greg Robinsonby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
25 mill ain't bad. Brockers: 10 mill Barron: 7 mill We got a 10 mill increase in the salary cap. There you go: 27 mill at the Rams disposal!by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com

I agree. The O line needs to play B+ level....and after a 2 week rest, I hope they do!by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
someone wrote: "We lost to the Bears and Eagles and all of a sudden we suck again. The only thing that really bothers about the Bears and Eagles games is/are: the Oline. Ya, Goff was off,and other stuff happened, but if the line can't play at a B+ level, then we will not beat the Bears or Eagles in the playoffs....I suspect the O line can----and so we can beat both teams I believe. Toby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Eagles may win; however, I can't see Dak beating Seattle.....but, they both have good Ds and like to run, so who knows.....neither team is dominant.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
I was saying if Higs gets hurt we are dead.....and they wanted a 6th for him (not a 4th).WOW, that is a shocker....and he still had 2 years left on his contract at that point. I mean, he isn't great, but who did we have to replace him????by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
If this was anyother Ram team, other than GSOT, I would say "ya"....but what bullies do we have? CJ + Gurley 30 times is our only chance--but Bears are #2 against the run, so I don't know. Goff does not look that good right now (despite my HOF call for his career, lol)....I mean, really. I can't remember a season, other than dieter brock in 1985, where a QB went from good all tby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
