QuoteRamgator The proof is in the pudding. I don’t think it’s soft play, gator. I think it’s some combo of poor coaching and poor scheming, plus not giving certain players any on-field opportunities. Not a good mix. The annual loss of quality asst coaches has finally caught up with Rams, I’m afraid. Hopefully, McVay will identify and make appropriate adjustments.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Where’s the development of youngsters? Why does Ramsey seem to be regressing? Why can’t Rochell, Durant, and Lake even sniff the field? It’s certainly not because Kendrick, Long, and Rapp are playing lights out. Do we have an asst coaching problem? Do the LA Rams need a bonafide franchise left tackle? by Bret Stuter Do the LA Rams need a bonafide franchise left tackle? by Bret Stuter The retirement of venerable veteran offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth was about more than just another NFL offensive lineman retirement. Justin Hollins shine for Packers casts shadow on Rams D by Bret Stuter When the LA Rams outright released three players from the roster: TE Kendall Blanton (Practice Squad), RB Darrell Henderson Jr., and OLB Justin Hollins, some fans were shocked, others were mildly surprised, and still, others were not surprised at all. I’m now opposed to 2nd contracts for virtually any RB. Their useful shelf life doesn’t warrant it, frankly. Draft a RB every year is the way to go. Besides, this is reportedly a bumper crop RB class. Best in years. Why blow cap dollars on an expensive FA RB when there are inexpensive gems throughout the draft? Trust me, dude, a good pass rush would make a world of difference even in Morris’ D. In fact, his strategy is predicated on having a good pass rush with 4 players (4 players is the key here) AND having an O that can put up 28-30 points per game consistently.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRidgewood Ram I'll stick with the first 3. The main reason why our RB's can't run anywhere is because of our IOL. Allen is too small and can't hold back bigger lineman in a pass rush. He gets beat a lot. Noteboom may be hurt but Jackson is a better LT than him. As for Stafford, of course he won us a SB and I even have his bobblehead. Was it a reward for winning the big one? QuoteClassicalwit I agree that Floyd is too expensive to keep, but it is a big assumption to think that the Rams will find a mid level draft choice to fill even one edge position, let alone two. Well, they’re gonna have a real high 2nd so a stud might fall. Then there’s the FA route. They whiffed at trade deadline on Burns and Chubb but I seriously doubt Snead fails to land one in the next oby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
A very strong arm. They can really zip the ball to get it to target before defender can. Includes the dreaded cross field sideline throws. QuoteRidgewood Ram Noteboom, Allen, Shelton totally suck. You might throw Stafford on the 'not a great major signing' list. Little harsh, Ridge. Okay, VERY harsh. At least to me. Williams Hoecht Atwell If not studs, maybe at least mini-studs? All 3 positively impacted the game. Perkins has certain physical gifts that are intriguing and somewhat difficult to defend. Namely, he can scramble like few other QB’s. But he will never have an NFL arm and apparently never have sufficient NFL accuracy. Best to move on and keep bringing in backup developable QB’s until we hit paydirt. Wolford has hit his ceiling, too. He understands the O very well which McVay loves, butby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I simply can’t understand it from any angle. McVay (I suspect) wanted Atwell so badly that he talked Snead into using the 2nd rounder on him when our WR room was already loaded. Even with Humphrey and others sitting there. Wouldn’t you presume that a smart coach like McVay had specific plans for such a bold move draft pick? Then Atwell becomes invisible and scarcely gets used. Rather unusuaby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
