This really resonates with me. Here’s dang… As we learned with Von Miller and OBJ guaranteed $$$ talks. Everything else is a distant secondary consideration. Rams have 4 games to determine how good Baker is. They have all off-season to decide his worth to the team next year. There is no reason to bring Stafford back this year for multiple reasons but most importantly to let him heal. I coulby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Matthew Stafford was on the headset helping Baker Mayfield during final drive Cameron DaSilva Matthew Stafford is out for the year with a neck injury, playing just nine games in his post-Super Bowl season. It’s been a frustrating year for everyone in the Rams’ building, but Stafford has remained engaged and present while out with injury. Quotesix2stack Apples to oranges when looking at the talent level. Akers is not in the same hemisphere as those RB's. Akers ability as a RB does not warrant a starting job when you consider the fumble rate. Fumble rate, if there is a large enough sample, is a true apples-to-apples comparison, imo. Fan perceptions can be misleading. It appears that Akers is in the ballpark there with 3 Raby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteOzRam BM had a hell of a 1st for the Rams. The fact he was so fresh in was amazing, but it also meant he wasn't under huge pressure because what could people really expect of him after only being in the building 48hrs! I was listening to the 'I am athlete' podcast and it was brought up that BM has done this before. It’s true that BM doesn’t have many of the regular starters on the Ram O. Too many to count, actually. But I also suspect that his moxie might have inspired his teammates in that Raider game. I saw fire in that Ram D after BM started making plays. Many players on that Ram D really showed up in that 2nd half. I couldn’t be prouder of them, tbh. And on O we all saw many guys playing theirby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotehubestar Jourdan has written and said multiple times that with all the OL injuries and the Rams having played so many linemen, they may have found the OL for the future: - Jackson - Noteboom - Shelton - Anchrum - Havenstein, or - Jackson - Anchrum - Allen - Shelton - Havenstein I am fine with that OL, what say you? Two things. First, no Boom at OG under any circumstances. We’ve beeby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

I am so hoping that this game for BM wasn’t just a fluke. Don’t need more fairytale type stuff, just that we will see solid performances from him in the remaining 4 games..by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
You’re missing my point, R2K. Or perhaps I didn’t make myself clear. Assuming that Rams need for BM to wait until ‘25 to become starter, why couldn’t Demoff structure a backloaded contract that makes him affordable cap-wise for next 2 seasons? Then they could have Stafford now and Mayfield later. And without spending a single draft pick? Meanwhile, BM gets the benefit of learning from bothby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- Obviously we want to see him light it up and win ever game, but sadly if he does that, he won't be back next year as our back up He will be a starter in Indy or Texas or some other team :banghead Lots of moving parts here, no matter how well BM plays. Here’s Oldnotdead…. I really think the odds of Stafford retiring in January is better than even. I think Baker being here makes it easier for Matt, no guilt about leaving his team in a lurch. Realistically what has he got left to prove? He got his ring, which he more than deserved. Time for him to think of his family now. Realistically he really only has two more years beyond this year. McVay has a lot of ‘splaining’ to do about the ‘22 handling of Atwell and Allen Robinson. I love McVay and consider him a gifted O mind, but he definitely and inexplicably fumbled the handling of both these WR’s.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Agree with a lot of this, but not all. The premise is solid, though. Rams need to reload but not rebuild. Here’s my list of team needs more or less in order of importance: ‘Backup QB’. Could be THE QB if Stafford retires or is still hurt. Mayfield would make a ton of sense here, almost too much sense. All he would cost is money, but not a single pick. Here’s Tano… What I have been saying all year - mix it up - play press and then soft - and what is even better - play press and back off before the pass or play off and then play press right before the snap Keep the damn QB on his toes - don't even let the easy 5 yard passes be there on every fricken playby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Here’s Tano… This was the best Morris called game all season. I don't know why he wouldn't play Ramsey consistently in man press coverage during the season. If Ramsey was covering the best receiver during an earlier game he would be 7 to 10 yards off and backing up at the snap. Not this game.
