Why waste any pick? However, I speak of things in terms of my draft philosophy. And my draft philosophy hate round 1 OL picks. So...waste is in the terms of my approach to a draft.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com

something was amiss in hurry up times for the Rams. McVay needs to trust Goff more and Goff needs to give him reason to do so. McVay did get outcoached a few times...but at his age, it's completely understandable.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I just don't see the use of picking a guy high in the draft that is being groomed for the future, especially with such a glaring need at edge. And value and our draft position seem to be aligned on the edge position. To me, the future is now...so going after an OT early is really not furthering our success this season. And Whitworth found his way to the Pro Bowl. He could last two more seasby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
He lists Josh Allen ahead of Watson? He puts Darnold #1? Wow...a guy who has never won anything big and has been a turn over machine. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Darnold has a few fumbles in his career. And Kizer is in his top 10. Are these ratings based on how he saw them at the time they were college? Or is he taking NFL results into consideration? It has to be the formerby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
How about a 6'5" WR that had a lousy QB which likely drove down his stock... Equanimeous St. Brown. A buddy of mine is big on this guy. What's the rap sheet on him?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
use some of those six rounders to see if you find a diamond in the rough. We don't need the guy to start this year so he would have time to develop. Yes...I don't mind taking a developmental guy in round 6...BUT NOT rounds 1 or 2.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
is that if I'm going to predict one of these guys being in horns, it will be... EDGE Ogbo Okoronkwo, Oklahoma Now, can we trade back to get him? Or, is he liked more by teams than we are lead on to believe? It would make my day to see this guy and one other Oklahoma player picked by the Rams...Mark Andrews, TE!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Does that list include all the teams who traded out of position to draft a QB? Why is it that this lot of QBs, possibly 4 of the first 5 picks will be QBs. The reality that has been is just even more evident to those who have been trying to "get along". Maybe 4 out of 5 of the top picks have something to do with the talent at the top. I just think teams understand, more thby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
It's something everybody has known for years. It's not like Goff, Wentz and yes Watson, gave us this new idea. But, sometimes, draft successes like these remind GMs, coaches, owners, etc. that it all starts with the man behind center. I do believer you are right...some of these guys are being pushed up because of it. I think only a couple are really ready. And...I don't mean like Goff.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I would rate him over Mayfield with his height and his age. Both showed accuracy and mobility. Mayfield played in and won more big games. But let's face it, Mayfield had more to work with. So...with all that known, I look at measure abeles. I would go with the taller and younger QB. The main reason I chose Goff over Wentz was age. My thinking was that a 20 year old QB playing at his level wby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
This is scary, but I'm about to talk about the NFL as a football fan and not a Rams fan...well...a Rams fan who loves talking about all teams, not just the Rams. I wish we have more talk about league situations...but...I understand why people are stoked about the Rams...heck...I am. That said...for those who like to talk football and the draft as a whole... #6 overall defense last year... David Johnson returning Like him or not, Bradford is head over heals better than what they had last year They fix that OL and they will be a tough tough opponent. They were 8-8 last year...with crappy QB's and OL. I'm not saying they are on the Rams level but they aren't far from being playoff contender.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
You missed this part of my post... "This gives us a few things...compensation to cover Watkins TDs and red zone presence...help with Woods and Kupp...a year to see if the guys I don't think have it at TE actually have it."by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Zero offers...and there are other safeties in the market. I'm shocked Dallas hasn't made a move... I'm not sure why the Rams would have placed a premium on a guy where 31 other teams aren't moving. I'm just saying they probably could have made this work tagging Watkins and dealing with Joyner. I guess it's hind sight but I don't get paid to know the market...they (Ram's management) do.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not worried about his age. I do get worried about his injury history. But...right now, our options are limited. When you are going all in for the season and you have a gaping whole in the red zone...I think this is totally worth a shot. This gives us a few things...compensation to cover Watkins TDs and red zone presence...help with Woods and Kupp...a year to see if the guys I doby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
when push comes to shove, in the regular season, I just don't see it happening. This penalty, more than holding, will occur every single play. How do interpret it? I heard that when the "hitting with the crown of the helmet" rule came in, it was called twice in the first week of the season...then not called again. It is about rare...I don't recall seeing it called at all lastby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
There are quality safeties out there (Reid, Vacarro, etc.) in free agency and they aren't even getting $7 million offers. The league is not valuing the position. Unfortunately somebody misdiagnosed the market...we are, in current market terms, likely overpaying Joyner big time. I was listening to NFL Radio again today. Nobody is moving on safeties at all...crickets. And, since nothing isby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
is will Joyner take less than his tag amount going forward. With all the safeties out there not getting offers, the Rams appeared to have overpaid on Joyner by at least a couple of million. Joyner probably would have gotten less than $10 million based on what is happening with safeties. He makes over $11 million this year...how does he take to $9-10 million? I agree with that. But he is liked by teammates and he plays to win. Most of his outbursts in the past had to do with losing. But, he has really kind of cleaned that act up. And he really has had no off field issues. One thing I do know...we don't have Watkins 8 TD's on this roster. And Gurley's screen passes aren't going to work like they did like year...not with the guys we have now.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
none of those guys will likely be better than a 4. As you know, I've been hammering away at my red zone concern. I don't see anything of them solving or helping in any big way with that problem. I've got to believe the Rams are on the hunt to help in that area.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I understand what your saying but... Maybe they need to go back to PeeWee or high school teaching... I remember when players were hitting with their facemasks as the cages got bigger and more intricate. at all... I'm not sure how this rule is somehow unfair or bad...It's not like the rule creates an unclear situation like "what is a catch?" Don't fumble the ball...fumbling the ball has consequences... And therein lies the confusion...it's all confusion to me. It's like...why is it 10 yards for a first down? Why does the ball come out to the twenty for a touchback? Why iby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com

What...is it a character issue? You don't like double digit touchdowns? You don't like a physical WR? If you don't like anything...what would you want? I'm looking for depth in reasoning. The Rams are looking at WR for a reason. They have a gaping hole...and zero red zone players other than Gurley running.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com

my son mentioned this to me... The word is that Dez Bryant is likely to be a salary cap casualty. But, since they save an additional $4 million for June 1st, I'm thinking that is the date he is given his walking papers. While Bryant doesn't have the "hops" that others have, he is a big physical WR that can make big catches in traffic and in the red zone. My guess he will be haby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
