This game was NOT on Goff. This was a total breakdown by the entire coaching staff! Goff didn't get our punt blocked, Goff didn't get called for the crucial holding penalties that killed at least 3-4 drives today, Goff didn't play weak ass soft zone coverage today with little to no pressure. Totally agree!!! To have this level of emotion on the day you could clinch a playoff spot is just criminal. For anyone who ever thought that Reeder is a decent ML, PLEASE...... that dude lacks one of the most important traits of a good ML and that's leverage. Today was far more about our horribly ill-prepared coaching staff than Goff. Our defense was soft, our special teams sucked, and our offense played with zero consistency and as soon as we did put a few first downs together we would get a holding call on the OL which would kill any sort of drive. Littleton was arguably our 3rd best player on defense and if someone said he was "2b" to Jalen Ramsey being "2a", I would probably agree with you. His PFF rating was 8th IN THE LEAGUE at ILB for a reason. That was NOT an interchangeable piece by any stretch of the imagination. We have no one on the roster to replace him with. Not sure if it's fortunately or unfortunately in your opinion, but Gurley can most certainly be traded this off-season. Now, it would have to be an "NBA style" trade similar to what we did with Talib, but it is possible and would actually save $5M in cap space in 2020 and $13M in 2021 and 2022. I agree on Blythe most likely being our center next year. He was a noticeable improvement from Allen and he would benefit from stronger play at the guard positions. He's going to check off two rather important boxes as we improve the OL next year. He's going to be cheap and he's a known commodity. With the ongoing talk of the upcoming salary cap for 2020 and beyond, I thought it would be worth mentioning the importance of the new CBA (whenever it does get signed) as it relates to this discussion. As of today, the 2020 salary cap is expected to be right at $200M......for now. Totally agree on the position as there potentially may be more value at guard than tackle in free agency this offseason. I say potentially because many things can and will happen between now and March when free agency begins. I agree that keeping both makes the most sense at this point. Overall, I think the position group is healthy, especially if the Rams are as high on D. Williams as it sounds. In the end, neither of the cap figures for NRC or Hill will prevent us from resigning Fowler and/or Littleton this offseason as $4M for a good CB is below market value.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

Both NRC and Hill have the same cap ramifications if cut this offseason as either one would save about $4M in cap space. Either one being cut would obviously create a void in our secondary either on the outside or in slot/nickel coverage. I see a lot of posts about trading Cooks this offseason. Please keep in mind that trading him this offseason would actually COST us about $1M in cap space due to the dead money. His salary cap figure for 2020 would be around $17.8M even after the trade due to guarantees and signing bonus figures. You need to look at the Everett play a bit closer and just focus on the route. After Sherman bit on a dig route, Everett glided for 2-3 steps instead of staying with the route, almost like he expected the ball to go somewhere else. I live in Houston but have been a season ticket holder since the Rams moved back to LA. I go to 4-5 games a year and sell the rest, always selling exclusively to Rams fans. I use Twitter a great deal and can usually sell for face value to help folks out.
