Yeah, this was a dumb ass move for sure!by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Some folks with obvious bias against Goff will not like it, but Goff is our #1 and gives this team the best chance to win next week. While Wolford did his job admirably today, he’s #2 on our depth chart for good reason.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
This game was NOT on Goff. This was a total breakdown by the entire coaching staff! Goff didn't get our punt blocked, Goff didn't get called for the crucial holding penalties that killed at least 3-4 drives today, Goff didn't play weak ass soft zone coverage today with little to no pressure. Goff also didn't call the same damn plays in the same crucial moments week after week. For example, amby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, yes, yes!!!! Agree with all of this, every last sentence!by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree!!! To have this level of emotion on the day you could clinch a playoff spot is just criminal. For anyone who ever thought that Reeder is a decent ML, PLEASE...... that dude lacks one of the most important traits of a good ML and that's leverage. Find me a clip where he makes contact with a RB and either stands him up or pushes him back. If you can, it's one of maybe 100 plays asby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Today was far more about our horribly ill-prepared coaching staff than Goff. Our defense was soft, our special teams sucked, and our offense played with zero consistency and as soon as we did put a few first downs together we would get a holding call on the OL which would kill any sort of drive. This was a team effort!by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't remember a team so embarrassing inconsistent as this one. No one came to play at all today.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
You and I are thinking the exact same way! Would settle for a Pittman and Dobbins combo as well. Just can't get excited about any of the edge prospects at this point and if we stay put in round two, round three is where I would hope for IOL and ILB help.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Tony Pastoors usually handles salary cap, but in this case I am sure they had everyone involved to ensure they weren't overlooking something.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure about that. 2018 was the only year he's been rated better than a 66 on PFF in his 4 year's of experience.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
No, he played about 525 total snaps last year.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopefully it's the 2018 version when his PFF score was 89.7 and not the 2019 version when he dropped to a lowly 56.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Littleton was arguably our 3rd best player on defense and if someone said he was "2b" to Jalen Ramsey being "2a", I would probably agree with you. His PFF rating was 8th IN THE LEAGUE at ILB for a reason. That was NOT an interchangeable piece by any stretch of the imagination. We have no one on the roster to replace him with. If we did, they would have been playing in theby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I would tend to agree as the players who are critical to this type of decision happen to be FA or moveable this year. (Brockers, Fowler, Weddle, etc.)by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I would agree that man coverage is one of our strengths on defense. Playing man in a 4-3 is quite normal, it just requires a bit more expertise by theby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes! I was going to post the same name as well. I would have to think he would be a candidate.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure if it's fortunately or unfortunately in your opinion, but Gurley can most certainly be traded this off-season. Now, it would have to be an "NBA style" trade similar to what we did with Talib, but it is possible and would actually save $5M in cap space in 2020 and $13M in 2021 and 2022. Speculating for a moment, it would probably be Gurley in exchange for a 5th in 2020 and a cby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree on Blythe most likely being our center next year. He was a noticeable improvement from Allen and he would benefit from stronger play at the guard positions. He's going to check off two rather important boxes as we improve the OL next year. He's going to be cheap and he's a known commodity. I really think the answer would be totally different if we only had one or two holes to fill, buby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
It would really not surprise me to see another "NBA style" trade similar to the Talib one where we get a 4th or 5th round pick for Gurley in exchange for the immediate salary cap relief.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
With the ongoing talk of the upcoming salary cap for 2020 and beyond, I thought it would be worth mentioning the importance of the new CBA (whenever it does get signed) as it relates to this discussion. As of today, the 2020 salary cap is expected to be right at $200M......for now. I say "for now" because one thing the owners have been pushing for is an extended season of some sby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree on the position as there potentially may be more value at guard than tackle in free agency this offseason. I say potentially because many things can and will happen between now and March when free agency begins. That said, if Scherff is not an option I think Joe Thuney from the Patriots is an absolute steal. Now, the Patriots would be wise to keep him, but if he ever hit the openby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry, I didn’t mean to imply that I thought or favored cutting one of the two. Only meant to throw out a possible thought process by the team. I actually endorse keeping both myself.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree that keeping both makes the most sense at this point. Overall, I think the position group is healthy, especially if the Rams are as high on D. Williams as it sounds. In the end, neither of the cap figures for NRC or Hill will prevent us from resigning Fowler and/or Littleton this offseason as $4M for a good CB is below market value.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Both NRC and Hill have the same cap ramifications if cut this offseason as either one would save about $4M in cap space. Either one being cut would obviously create a void in our secondary either on the outside or in slot/nickel coverage. In some ways, I think this decision has more to do with David Long Jr than anyone else. If the team feels as if Long has made enough strides this year afterby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I see a lot of posts about trading Cooks this offseason. Please keep in mind that trading him this offseason would actually COST us about $1M in cap space due to the dead money. His salary cap figure for 2020 would be around $17.8M even after the trade due to guarantees and signing bonus figures. That said, a restructure is a more likely scenario as a trade AFTER the 2020 season has far fewerby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
You need to look at the Everett play a bit closer and just focus on the route. After Sherman bit on a dig route, Everett glided for 2-3 steps instead of staying with the route, almost like he expected the ball to go somewhere else. It’s very subtle, but that translates to 3-4 feet in distance. Not saying Goff is blameless on Sunday, but there’s more to that missed throw than meets the eye.by Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I live in Houston but have been a season ticket holder since the Rams moved back to LA. I go to 4-5 games a year and sell the rest, always selling exclusively to Rams fans. I use Twitter a great deal and can usually sell for face value to help folks out. Strangely enough, I am NOT renewing this year as I have been caught up in the mandatory seat relocation program twice due to the ongoing consby Houston Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
