Good things...our new kicker was perfect. Verse flashed. The secondary held up. Our LBs looked good. Stafford was incredible. Kupp was nearly '21 Kupp. The new TE is a beast. The WR squad was deep. Bad things...Injuries galore to very key players. I'm an old guy and I really think I block better than Acuri. Where was Turner? Fiske? No Tutu? No Corum? Most teams would love to have thby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I will be very surprised if our DL is chasing Hoff out of the pocket on every play. Firstly the Lions are a good running team. Goff is at his best using play action. He needs to emphasize the run game to set up his passes. Can we stop the run to set up the third and longs? If so, then we'll see if the kids can pass rush and cover.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, we haven't seen them play at all so they will come out of nowhere. McVay hopes to sneak up on teams. I find it very odd that there will be rookies starting and or playing the majority of snaps and we've never seen them in horns. Maybe a few here went to open sessions of training camp, but nobody has seen them in a game playing at game speed. Like all of you I keep my fingers crossed and hopby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Do you think it makes any sense to keep the player who wears the green dot a secret? Would never play cards with McVay.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
The goal is to win the Super Bowl. I like Goff. A lot! My kids are Cal girls. But, Stafford won the SB. Can't call that a failed trade. Jones for a slightly higher pick 2 years from now. Different story.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
We don't know that Bennett won't develop into good pro QB. And he's not too small. We know he's not ready to beat off Stafford as a starter, but Stafford was the first overall pick in the NFL draft and has won a Super Bowl. As for size, Bennett is about the same size as Drew Brees: future Hall of Fame QB and Super Bowl winner. Bennett has better wheels. Bennett is a winner. He won back to bacby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
When did Whittington win the 4th WR battle? Are you counting Robinson and Atwell as 3A and 3B? Both are behind All world duo of Kupp and Nacua. That would be 4. Whit would be a nice 5, but has he really even beaten out XS? That would take him to 4A or 4B. That would make him 5 or 6. Not saying he so t make team but not as a 4.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Not one new thought there.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I think this is true. It's not just who are the starters. He is letting the 3rd and 4th stringers battle it out for roster spots.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Puka 2400. Kupp 2050, sure... 1 grand for him and a grand for the new guy. Stafford throws for 8k.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
He needs the work. He has flashed at times, but is obviously rusty after missing a whole season. If anything, Winn should get reps this week because JG is suspended week one and Winn would be the 3rd strong if Stafford and SB both got hurt. And we know nothing about him.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I think we're getting a little too worried about how people look in preseason (fake games). SB looks exactly like he should. Rusty. He has shown a lot of talent too. He has thrown done gorgeous passes including late TD strikes to win both games he has played in. He took a whole season off. He is playing with backups. Who knows how he looks with Puka, Kupp and KW? Maybe he gets even better protectby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with the ide that Evans is on the bubble, but how is he supposed to have these breakout plays with no game planning and backup blockers? The author didn't mention his good yardage on a swing pass in the flat where he could use his speed. He may not make the top 4, but maybe he is on the practice squad and could be brought up later. He could be a real weapon. There's a reason tby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Some weird things there. Limmer looked really good before going out with an apparent injury and Davis looked like our best defender. Obviously Whit balked out and Bennet won the game for us.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
These are tragic designs for hats and I would never be seen in either.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
That is actually incredible. He was a second round pick, the son of an NFL player and was on some good Rams' teams. There has to be a good explanation.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
One more cheap shot at Atwell. Very sad.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
You guys are brutal.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I think this Cat gets creamed here. He is/was a 300 fast DT who helped the team as an outside pass rusher. It was a totally new position for him. He was a good rusher but sometimes lost contain and never should've been asked to cover WRs. I think he'll do very well in a rotation. I could see him and Fiske rotating at DE and he could also take snaps outside on rushing downs.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the responses. Probably we have seen the last of AD in a "live" game, no doubt, but my question is more about the cap works with him unofficially retired. Is he still getting paid for every game he doesn't play? If not, do our Rammies get a big cap reprieve the minute he signs the retirement papers with the league office?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
So, we have a doable schedule, a young talented team, a massive OL, 2 great WRs, a strong running game, speed on D. We should have a great record and make the playoffs again. My question is, and O don't know if it's been explained well on here is, if AD decides to un-retire and play the last few games to push us over the top how does that work with his contract? He has announced his retiby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Fairly sobering compilation. And it's a great reminder that it's the healthiest and hottest team who wins it all more often than the most talented one. Or it's the one with Patrick Mahomes. Stafford's injuries are the most worrisome. If he's healthy, he is a Super Bowl winning HOF-type QB who can get hot and win out. I really don't like the head injury description. After that, with more moneby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm okay with AD playing for us anytime he wants. Absolutely.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree with lots of this. Don't see Scoops. Tutu won't be returning punts.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Very cool comp. Our guy is actually a little taller, heavier, way stronger and nearly as fast. We got our guy at #19 and they drafted VM at #2. If he's even 80% of VM as a player he'll be a star.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Love the highlights of this kid. I like him a lot.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm excited about the youngsters joining a very good team. Dunno much about these WRs, but if we can draft a Kupp in the 3rd and a Puka in the 5th, I trust the picks. Maybe another kid will emerge, but again, Atwell was taken with a 2nd and has learned the system. He is the fastest guy in the team. If you want speed he had it. He also has good hands. I think he is either 3a or 3b and will be a soby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I think AJ did a fine job at LOT last season. Way better than serviceable. For some reason he isn't well liked. Also, besides getting hurt in a punt in his rookie year Atwell has performed admirably whenever given the chance. He is our 3b. SKOW has done well as a blocker and big target when playing. It could very well be the Rams don't see any need in the WR room. We probably need a returneby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
