With the contract that Amman St. Brown just signed -4 yrs 120 million - AJ will want that kind of money as well. I would rather have a young guy for 3-5 years on the cheap. Spend money on D for me.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Skipping to the final stage of Grief, I have come to ACCEPTANCE on the greatest Defensive Tackle to ever play the game. I think this team is still ready to compete for a Championship if they can fill a few holes and get a few lucky bounces this coming year. This article discusses the possibility of Donald's return. It seems the Rams have been creative in case he decides to return.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
How does this work? If I retire, I do not get my annual salary unless I work. How does AD's retirement work? I would think that would free up all that cap money we were going to pay him for the rest of the contract. Albany seems to be the person with answers?by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think personally, I would prefer a young energetic guy who is up and coming. But, the idea of Belichick and McVay working together is intriguing. McVay could clearly learn some things about clock management and timeouts from the old guy. Belichicks defense continues to be above average. What do you guys think?by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
The whole OL was outstanding yesterday, but Jackson stood out for his performance against the possible Defensive Player of the Year. Yes, Garrett was dinged up, but in his own words, "It did not bother me much". Quite a few posts have been devoted to taking a LT with a high pick. I disagree- Jackson is young and growing into the position. quite a few of our most productive runs come bby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram The contract the Rams gave Wentz (prorated vet minimum plus a $150,000 signing bonus) is exactly the same as if they gave him a $732,500 deal to play the rest of the season. It's $732,500 in Wentz' pocket either way and a $732,500 cap hit either way. If you're OK with paying Wentz $732,500 to be QB2 for the rest of the year then the structure of the deal shouldn't matter. (by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 I think the ideal scenario is Jackson playing well this year and then picking up his RFA tender for 2024. He is still an ascending player and fits their new OL scheme well. Would allow them to use premium draft picks (1st and 2nd rounds) elsewhere. That all said, you cant dismiss the idea of drafting a LT high next April. If the value is there you do it. Good LT cost premium pickby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamgator For driving me to kick my TV after the Mud Bowl, when I was 10 and getting yelled at by my Mom! I was 15 years old and my dad surprised me with tickets. We sat in the cheap seats in the pouring rain. Yes! It was miserable, but I did my part as a Rams fan to cheer. While I was disappointed and hurt (again), my dad vowed never to be a Ram fan ever again after the loss. He couldby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
My biggest concern is that the middle of the DL is light (except for B. Brown) and inexperienced. There is no Wagner in the middle to help stop the run. I think our O will be better if OL can stay healthy, but will not get as many opportunities because other teams will run on us with success. If we load the box with the inexperienced safeties and play the cb's 10 yards off, then again, 1st downby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDavid Deacon In the 2024 there are 2 really good prospects. While 2023 may not be what we all would like I think we will be better than the bottom of the pile and probably won't have a shot at the top QB prospects in the 2024 draft. It seems really hard to find a great QB. Warner was great but Martz screwed him up. Bulger was ok but was never confused with the top QBs in the league.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
What now looks like a total rebuild, will Donald stay with the Rams? Rumors of Stafford being shopped as well leaves me to wonder if Donald demands a trade now or Retires. I am leaning towards retirement unless he gets a trade to the Steelers.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
On Defense Kevin Green- That would take care of the edge pressure, give this team a personality, and free up Donald. On Offense- Either Pace-to shore up the line or.. Faulk- the man did not need a line to block. He could make a ton of guys miss.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Why do we find most of our information about the Rams here on the board and not from the writers being paid to cover and investigate this team. Who are their inside sources? Most of us love and respect Jourdan's writing and coverage, but nobody seems to have an inside track to what this team is doing most of the time. Very Frustrating!by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
After reading so many posts and responses, it seems most of us are scratching our heads trying to figure out what Rams are doing. With so many moves, it seems they do not feel they just need to tweak the roster to be competitive again this season. We are seeing major rumors of cuts or trades. It leaves me to think or question... Is McSnead looking at the 49er Org with stars and depth at almosby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you to all that replied. I guess I will have to learn how to operate Youtube tv now. I should be able to save a bundle by dropping Dtv.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
A little help from the board please! I have had Directv and Sunday Ticket for 20 years, but am tired of paying for Directv. Is there an alternative to see all the games other than Sunday Ticket? If yes, what are the cost if you know them. Looking for a little help? Thanks guys!by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRamsdude I will say yes, they should call it the same for EVERY game. You shouldn't change the rules because it's a "bigger" game. :thumbsup Sometimes however, the refs aren't even consistent within the same game so it's really hard to say what is an "acceptable" standard for what should or shouldn't be called a penalty. I think "consistency" is the main tby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Okay, this has to be quick- I'm at work and only usually get to read posts without being able to respond due to work. Here is my question without any stats to back it up. I have read about the defenses and lack of sacks in yesterday's game. Like most of you, I watched every second of the game and like most superbowl games, I noticed very few flags were thrown by officials. I do not recallby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemerlin Take the best player. Always. But here's the thing about the Rams... They are very disciplined about taking guys where they are slotted on their board. So if they want the lesser player generally they will move down and try to get him in that next group. TUTU????????by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com

McVay signed an extension til 2026. Does that mean that just like Sean Peyton, the Rams own his rights until he fulfills his contract or trade him?by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSB34RAMS1 Anybody think this was a 1.3 million dollar spite move to block the 49ers, like they did with c, mcaffery? We can't afford his next contract next year. He has been discarded by two teams. No one is going to pay him big money. I'm guessing 5-7 million range.by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
If this is true, there is no way his wife will will let him play again. Yes- he could pull a Brady and do his own thing no matter what his wife wants, but, with little kids and seeing what happened in to Brady marriage, I think he will retire if it is as bad as Chou says it could be. I hope there is some sort of disconnect in what Chou is hearing and what is true. As much as I love my Rams, weby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
I was able to attend the first day of training camp this year and wrote a review. Well- here we are 3 1/2 months later and now is time to look back on my review back in August. Here is my review and retrospective critique. This is the one training camp day I am able to attend this year. It was a Beautiful day in Irvine. Perfect weather for players and fans. Quoteroman18 about 2 hours or so from here, outside Asheville. Built by Vanderbilt, finished in the 1890's. Staying over and checking out the gardens, like 8000 acres of woods etc. Got a winery on site, great food spots. Gonna be football free for 48 hours. Todd Gurley was born August 3, 1994. He is 28 years old. Think about this offense the last 3-4 years if he was healthy. Of course, we probably would not have resigned him due to cost. Good memories!!!by Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJimYoungblood53 But people refuse to accept facts. Oldnotdead was wrong all last year, and some here, too. Ejiro Evero runs a lot of it, too, he puts his nuances to it, same as Morris, same as Donatell, same as does Joe Barry, so does Jonathan Gannon . . . It is only a question of how much other stuff is mixed it... I am not going to argue X's and 0's with you. Maby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
Hey we won the Super Bowl! Who cares? That is how I want to react. But, like most of us, I want to win as much as possible while we have a good competitive team. The memories of 2003-2017 are still fresh and seemed like a lifetime of losing. I think I read he has 2 Ints in each of his last 5 regular season games. I do not think we will be able to win enough games if this trend continues. Iby Ramsfan1971 - RamsFootballFans.com
