I think personally, I would prefer a young energetic guy who is up and coming. But, the idea of Belichick and McVay working together is intriguing. McVay could clearly learn some things about clock management and timeouts from the old guy. Belichicks defense continues to be above average. The whole OL was outstanding yesterday, but Jackson stood out for his performance against the possible Defensive Player of the Year. Yes, Garrett was dinged up, but in his own words, "It did not bother me much". Quite a few posts have been devoted to taking a LT with a high pick. Can the O excel if the D can't get off the Field? - 1 year ago
My biggest concern is that the middle of the DL is light (except for B. Brown) and inexperienced. There is no Wagner in the middle to help stop the run. I think our O will be better if OL can stay healthy, but will not get as many opportunities because other teams will run on us with success. Why do we find most of our information about the Rams here on the board and not from the writers being paid to cover and investigate this team. Who are their inside sources? Most of us love and respect Jourdan's writing and coverage, but nobody seems to have an inside track to what this team is doing most of the time. I have read about the defenses and lack of sacks in yesterday's game. If this is true, there is no way his wife will will let him play again. Yes- he could pull a Brady and do his own thing no matter what his wife wants, but, with little kids and seeing what happened in to Brady marriage, I think he will retire if it is as bad as Chou says it could be. Hey we won the Super Bowl! Who cares? That is how I want to react. But, like most of us, I want to win as much as possible while we have a good competitive team. The memories of 2003-2017 are still fresh and seemed like a lifetime of losing. I think I read he has 2 Ints in each of his last 5 regular season games.
