But IMO, if McVay was coaching the way he is right now and had that Detroit team, he'd be 0-10-1 right along with Goff. Or with Stafford.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
They cut people left and right, basically they're like an expansion team. Take a look at their starting WR's. Jefferson would be the best receiver on that team by a mile. And it doesn't look like that coaching staff is going to survive. Goff isn't lifting them, but he's not the major problem there either. But if it makes people feel better to point and laugh at Goff while the Rams arby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com

It was McVay dumping all his own shortcomings on Goff on the way out the door. That is now revealed, as CW said.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
All I can say is...when you get rid of one QB for turnovers and pick sixes, and brag about how NOW the offense can really be unleashed. And then the new mvp candidate QB starts throwing a string of pick sixes, there's something else wrong at the heart of this offense. Does it rhyme with no way?by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
I remember being in the minority on this trade. I didn't waste any time trying to defend Goff's play, but I was NEVER sold on Stafford, and especially the price they paid for him. What did the doubters get? Ah, they were told they had Goff baggage. They got "sigh". They were told how wrong they were going to be shown. They were told they must want to go back to 2-14. Narrative before Akers injury: One reason Stafford didn't win in Detroit is that they never gave him the support of a solid run game. Narrative after Akers injury: Even if the Rams have to lean more on the passing game, it'll be ok because Stafford.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
The Lions only won 5 games with Stafford last year, so by your logic how could anybody believe in him? This will be interesting. I know you deny it, but to justify the trade and make it worth what the Rams gave up in picks, Stafford has to take the Rams farther than Goff (superbowl), and the Lions have to be even worse than last year. If Stafford gets hurt, or doesn't significantly impby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
I have been getting a lot more fond of your posts over the last 6 months. And I'm not saying that because of what you just said. I should have said it before this. We have clashed pretty hard, or at least I clashed hard. But I feel a new wind blowing.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
I've been posting good and bad, agree and disagree, optimistic and pessimistic, things re the Rams here for over a decade. Old timers here know that. You've resorted to a mischaracterization, but can't stop you and won't try. I hated the Greg Robinson pick and loved the Aaron Donald pick. I hated, hated, hated the Brian Quick pick. But I loved the Tavon Austin pick. Go back aby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
You should look at the trendline you just listed. And I didn't have a problem with what they did with the line in 2017 and 2018. No moaning and groaning then. But when the interior of the line got blown up in the Superbowl, that was a big problem. And that interior line strength and pass blocking has been a problem ever since. Did you not see all the posts this Spring saying "We gby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
They don't know me or anything I think, and wouldn't care if they did, so don't worry about how they're being treated. I do have a decades long fanship with the NFL in which I have NEVER seen anyone built like Tutu succeed. The odds aren't long, they're astronomical. So that's one thing. Second, I've read hints that they themselves may have intended to draft some oline but kept getting prby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com

But you gotta admit. Just saying "I trust the Rams" or "I trust McVay/Snead" isn't really an analysis or a new point of discussion. In fact, it sometimes seems like an overture to end the discussion. It's an attitude, not a point of view. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but I'm sure seeing a lot more of it lately when the Rams get questioned. Then they can shorten it up. Instead of "I Like Whatever The Rams Do." There's never any questioning. It's just whatever the Rams do is good.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
Everything I need to know about this I got from reading this board. The problem with the offense was Goff, not the oline or playcalls. Oline struggles were not a valid excuse. Ergo, the oline was fine then and is still fine. Stafford is way better than Goff and will make the oline, the receivers, and backs better as well. Ergo, the oline is already better than last year (when it was fineby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com

(not to mention an arch-rival for decades). If you do it you better A be sure that you know who they're taking and be completely unconcerned about it...and B absolutely scalp the hell out of them in the trade. does he communicate (or not) with assistant coaches the way he communicated with Goff? And could that be part of why so many have chosen to depart? Dunno. Also, not to give Goff an excuse, but...having 5 QB coaches in 5 years just isn't good. Edit: Oops, now I read you in another post making that exact same point. I wasn't trying to copy you. :)by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
I appreciated reading what Franklin had to say about how the trade was handled. It let's me know that I and some others weren't just imagining things. I will be interested to see if Goff can take this experience and build off of it.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
Especially in a tight cap year where a lot of older vets may be available for free. IMO, he's been living off of playing next to AD for years. When on his own, he's not that productive. Time for him to step up in Detroit without Donald to draw everyone's attention.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
