I remember being in the minority on this trade. I didn't waste any time trying to defend Goff's play, but I was NEVER sold on Stafford, and especially the price they paid for him.
What did the doubters get?
Ah, they were told they had Goff baggage. They got "sigh". They were told how wrong they were going to be shown. They were told they must want to go back to 2-14. Blah blah blah for not joining in the groupthink.
I've been giving it time to see if I was way wrong, but not so far.
And I don't want to hear about injuries. Stafford's age and injury propensity was part of the reason I didn't want him. It was not unforeeable.
