Agreed, nothing prepares you for full speed contact, cutting, and change of direction like a game, even preseason. Hope they all get through without any injuries.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Hope the Rams defense doesn't give up 24 points to a Colts team with ST as the starter.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah ,it seemed stupid for the Rams to even say he deserves a new deal . It put them in a box of their own making. Now they just need to say we tried, couldn't reach an agreement so time to either come in and play out the year or sit out it's up to you AD. This team giving him 20+ million a year is going to make it harder to sign not only their upcoming FAs but compete for UFAs down thby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, Collinsworth was crying about how Patricia can only do so much when he doesn't have the players.(thought their defense was all world, who knew? ). While Hightower is good, I didn't know the whole defense revolved around him.( well to be fair KC scored 21 when he was on the field and 21 when he wasn't).:thumbsupby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Nope, at least after SB wins they had been 4-0.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Will if they play the Steelers. That offense is better than KCs for sure.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Um the rest of those guys are in the same boat as AD but he stopped rowing while they are all still in the boat. So it looks like most are not holding out.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Joyner and Davis don't move the needle much.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
I will take him not getting hurt again. If he can stay healthy he should be better than last year when he seemed not completely back.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, is he going to get his money in the first 3 years and then with 2 years left, hold out again if he doesn't get an opt out? Not sure how this is going to go. It is frustrating as a fan , but it is what it is.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well the vets wanted more of the pie that the untested rookies were getting. So not sure the vets are going to support anything that takes money out of their pockets and gives it to while not rookies, still guys who haven't played that long. There is still only so much pie to be divided.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't think the Rams can front load any money if this year has to contain big guaranteed money,by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Praying that the Lord lays his healing touch on you TH87. May God Bless you and keep you safe.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Would it matter cap wise if he gets it all or most of it over the first 3 years? It would be spread over the whole contract length right? That was one of the questions I had about the opt out(which must not even be an issue per VB). If you get the guaranteed in the first 3 years and you were allowed to opt out what would be the cap ramifications? Say it's 15 million over 5 years for a toby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
So you are saying that even if the Rams are willing to give him the highest contract, the most guaranteed money, The debate is AD wants even more. If I'm the Rams It's here you go our last best , take it or leave it, will talk next year. That's negotiating too.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well we could make an educated guess that it's more than the highest paid defensive player in the league right? I mean Vinny states it's HOW much above the highest contract . (so say the highest is 120 mill. rams offer 125 mill but Donald wants 130). Don't really care about the guaranteed money, it will be more than the highest paid out so far(think it's Von Miller). And he wants more thby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
They just set this up during the last CBA right? Okay now if the players want it changed they will have to bargain for it. This setup was what the players wanted because the rookies were for the most part getting overpaid since most first rounders don't play up to their contract , especially the QBs.(Chances are it was all the QB busts that the vets were upset about since they were theby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't see another team giving into the opt out option if reports are true,(only thing it could be if Rams are indeed offering 70+ million guaranteed).by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
You mean the cap on the two tag years? The 2 years left are already figured into the cap next 2 years right?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the week he can come in and get the season to count is in doubt, some say 6 games , others say 8. I'm not sure that will work it's self out. Yes he can do that, but then the Rams can tag him for at least two more years and then he will be 30 years old. And he will have made just 40 million over those 4 years. Or he can sign for 70/75 million guaranteed over 5 . It must be all aboutby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay: I respect what Aaron brings as a leader. Um, sorry Sean but under the heading leader there would be 52 guys on this team ahead of me, not we Donald.(Actually 53, because he's holding out).by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Ok ,got it. Reading that I wasn't sure. Makes sense. Thanks.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Um, can you guarantee that the Rams will get the good Rosen or the crappy guy in the first half? He made some great throws but I question what the heck caused the A&M secondary to lay down so badly. And they couldn't stop the run at all and suddenly they tank? Weird game. Credit to JR for hanging in there.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
How A&M choked up that game is stupid. Fire him now. How does a defense that is dominating just go to crap like that?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah he kinda peed all over that slogan right?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed. That's why they are going to try to get the opt out. The top NBA players are all doing it to keep getting more and more money. But 15 players isn't 53 and the NFL has a hard cap that the NBA doesn't worry about. They pay the luxury tax and go over the cap all the time. Even MLB has penalties now for going over the cap. Is that the next step for the NFL?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Guess Gary isn't really keeping tabs on what the Rams are doing. He's just throwing stuff into a report without even knowing who is actually doing what player wise . Maybe he wrote this story two or three weeks ago.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
So did the Rams have to sign the three claimed players to the 53 or as it states, sign them to their PS?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
