While I tend to agree, the Rams must keep improving on both sides of the ball. Looking at next year's schedule, they will need another step forward in JGs development. And as most have said, the defense needs impact players at all three levels to take it into top five territory. That they are going to be in the same system next year and their confidence of knowing what's expected going forward Iby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think McVay will eventually give up play calling duties, when he gets a guy that really gets his offense and the his feel for attacking a defense with that offense. But right now he feels the need to run the offense on game days.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
But they can tag him and try to work out a long term deal right? I guess it's a risk either way, tag him or let him see what he can get and match it? DO you think they may feel any pressure to sign him because of the 2nd and Gaines?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree to a point. But the question remains, do the Rams want him back ,and at what cost? If they want him it will cost them at least 12/13 million a year imo. Some think he is worth it. Some don't. Guess it will come down to what McVay thinks of him in his offense.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure another Woods is out there to sign 43, and I'm really not sure it would be a great idea to see him lighting up the Rams as a forty inner for the next five years. Be their luck for him to go off with another team.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Think they have to tag him and then get a deal done. If they don't it may cost them even more money or even him signing at all.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, and there will be a team. Who doesn't think that SF with their cap space ,depending on the draft, and not a great FA crop of WRs that will actually see their teams resign them, won't throw top 8 at least and probably more, not only to add to JGs weapons ,but hurt the Rams in the process. That last part could be worth an extra one of two million a year to them.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
If they don't tag him SF, Dallas, at least will offer him top five money, SF because they have a lot of cap space, plus it hurts the Rams, while Dallas would have to dump players but you know JJ, he likes to make a splash. All it takes is one team willing to give him the big offer then ,bye bye.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
What do you think of Nick Deluca ?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Very erratic QB play for LSU this year.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
The trick is with no second rounder, you have to determine if one of these guys is a above average LOT ,and worthy of #23 over a different need, or wait until 3rd round and take the best one you think can develop that's still there. Not sure what the Rams priority is for that first pick.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Brady is that good, darn it!!! You look at their players and you think most of them are average. But they always get the job done. While the Jags defense has been good remember they gave up 44 to SF and 42 to Pittsburgh. The only thing that gets to Brady is a pass rush that sacks him and also knocks the snot out of him all game. How the Giants beat him twice.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just seems like none of the OTs are really studs, maybe 1 guy has first round talent. A few who could be groomed but none that appear to be anywhere near LOT level starters. Guys like Senat, Williams, McDermott or Toth later and see if they can grow into the position. . Really no FAs either. So do they take one at 23 who may never be that guy or take one in rds 3-6 for depthby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Even if they like them could they go to them to restructure? Depends on how they are viewed vs. if there are upgrades available . imo.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Could they restructure these players contracts, or cut them and bring them back for less money? Happens every year ,not sure how the Rams will do it. There are some holes that will have to be filled. At least 2 CBs will be needed, and Joyner must be resigned too.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Senat look like a guy who could play the left side going forward. Depends on him getting stronger and the right coaching. Toth has to do 2 years of service first, I think, not sure if he can get a waiver. McDermott needs strength and coaching, made plays but also got beat some too. Liked both the DT s you mentioned .by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, they backed into the third seed and instead of Carolina they got ATL. Who knew that the Saints wanted the panthers too.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Wondering about his last year as OC in Washington, did they run the ball balanced or not? Would love to se Brown replaced with another stud back for a two back attack like NO and ATL. Along with the TEs production increasing this would make this offense almost unstoppable.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, Blythe is fine for now if Sully stays healthy and is resigned. Too many other positions need attention right now. 23 needs to be a starter /heavy contributor next year.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
I wonder how he ever threw 28 touchdown passes this year.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed, and would add enjoy the dating scene around LA. No reason to become a monk at 23.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
The eagles scored 2 points more than the Rams did. Difference is the Philly defense only allowed 10. So technically if the Rams defense would have done as well as the eagles defense the Rams would have won. They gave up 26.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
I guess non exclusive works if you want to have someone negotiate your contract for SW. Maybe to see what other teams think he's worth? They will franchise tag him though ,no brainerby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams will tag him. Only way to get to a good deal . Joyner should be easier signing.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't think Belicheat wanted to trade him but Brady didn't like having a replacement for him in place. Brady knew Bill was going to move on from him and he went crying to Kraft. Now when TB falls off the cliff they got nothing.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree on both positions. Not knocking McVay but being a TE coach and get so little From the position is baffling. Adding a stud catching TE would see this offense get to another level. Think JG will be even better Next year in this offense.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, already filmed the Rams practices just in case.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well J let's hope this is week we do win by hook ,crook , or luck, just get the W. Nervous wreck..... been so long don't want it to end tonight. Go Rams.......fry them birds!!!!!by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
