It will be almost impossible to sign all of these guys to new deals. Everyone can't be resigned to big contracts . It's just as important to know which ones to keep and which to replace with younger, cheaper options.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it's the most money guaranteed which the Rams I'm sure are willing to pay, but not the opt out clause. never has happened in the NFL and the owners aren't going to start now. Do not think it would work like the NBA which usually gives the stars like Lebron James an out every year so as to get even higher salary . But even one after 3 years is a bridge too far for the league imo.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well Peters and Talib better brush up on their tackling technique because teams won't need to throw with the Rams trying to stop the run with two midgets(sorry, height challenged) ILBs.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
To stop the run they will need a NT who keeps two linemen busy so they can't get to the ILBs. Would need to replace Tree with a bigger guy whose a solid tackler and move Littleton to Barrons spot and send Mark down the road.imo of course.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree. He isn't going to be a more than average run stopper. Wonder if they will bring in a FA ILB(are there really any left out who would fit the bill?). If not that is going to be two smallish LBs just begging teams to run in between the tackles like last year. Stopping the run must be way better or this team will regress big time.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
What do you think of the Northern Iowa kid, Fountain?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't Z.Brown get 5 million last year? Also why keep Barron, he isn't really that good, think they can upgrade his spotby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
As long as they don't sign UFAs to big contracts themselves. If they only sign released free agents then they get a chance at those comp picks(you would think they would get the two 3rds ). My question is if they were to sign a lesser deal with a UFA ,say if were 2 years 10 million how would that impact the comp picks?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sounds good but rams need a stud NT to stop teams from running the ball down their throats game after game. They most certainly need edge rushers , and they may have one at least already. Add the NT and ILB whose good against the run too and the defense takes another step toward being top 10. There are options both in FA and the draft that will help. jmo.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Lot of options for true NTs both in FA and the draft.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Would the Ravens trade for him before the 16th ?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
How much would Z. Brown cost? He can't be that costly and would fit for stopping the run inside.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Think they hold him and see if anyone comes calling after the WRs in FA are mostly gone.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed. Didn't always get what James was saying, but it was definitely food for thought and really enjoyed trying to figure it out. He had a unique perspective on this board and will be sorely missed. Maybe just take a break James, and come back better than ever! Take care brother.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
And with Keenum going to Denver, the Vikes will be all in on Cousins. Not really any other direction for them now. Back to Bradford or Bridgewater? Don't count out the Jets giving him crazy money.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sure, if he can get deep and help in the Red zone.:imsorryby bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Could stay for 1 year, 14 million. Think that's what it will take if he stays on a one year bridge contract. Of course SF, Chicago , or some surprise team could go 14 million for 3,4 years I guess but seems teams may be shying away from multiple years until they see if he can be more productive .by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Hey GQ, how many Superbowl rings did you get while doing nothing? Oh that's right, holding the iPad for Tom is hard work.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Like Z. Brown and Williamson. What about them? Think Williamson would cost a lot. Brown can play.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Other people recovering from this type of injury is no guarantee than Sherman or the next guy will ever be close to what they were pre injury. Not saying one way or the other because nobody can honestly know. For every guy who did there are plenty who didn't We will all know in September.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
No one can know if Sherman is a better player than anyone at CB until he hits the field after these surgeries.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed!! They sure do so head scratching things personnel wise . Worked out great for the Rams. Now getting Whitworth's replacement to develop will be tricky. Can they get the LOT position right after Whit?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
It's very possible he could over time be back near his previous playing ability but like you stated there is a better chance of that 2 years after the surgery which makes him almost 32. Would the Niners sign him knowing he will need that long to get back completely?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Be nice if Philly really had enough interest to throw the Rams a bone to get him.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Would try to move him for any pick. If true there are 4 teams it could result in a trade. I know most feel he will be released but maybe some team thinks they can get the most out of him. Still chances are he gets cut. A pick would be great. Won't hold my breath.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
43, I think NT would be a serious consideration if Vea or maybe Payne dropped.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Really like that list. Think they get one of the first three at 23 if Les doesn't trade down. OLB edge rusher Would be my pick. Do you think they take the edge guy over the ND tackle if both are there?by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
There is the Bears, not sure what their cap space is.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Ok,but he is rehabbing Rom both surgeries right? As long as no setbacks I guess but look at Kobe, never the same. Will be interesting to one see him back playing and two, which team signs him. And how much do you pay a guy recovering from these types of injuries.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well with Cleveland trading for Landry what team other than SF that has the cap to offer that big deal ? Seems his market is shrinking by the day.by bigjimram21 - RamsFootballFans.com
