Latu Edge Pearsall WR Can do anything, including get deep. TJ Tampa CB Boundary corner. 32.5 inch arms, can tackle. 6-0.5 189 ... bordering on first round talent, slides because he hasn't been able ot work out. Dewayne Carter DT Meat and Potatoes pick. If I could get Ohrororo and Khyree Jackson by flipping the CB and DT picks I would.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
But ... he's not going to be ready to be the starter game 1. He'll split time with Hoecht and you hope our coaches can get him up to speed in time for a playoff run. That may even work out better for us. We'd also have the two most athletic freaks as edge rushers in the NFL. Maybe it's enough to have 2 exterior and one interior rusher that all win ... maybe that's the ratio needed to coby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
This particular mock had guys wayyyyyyy out of order in comparison to not just my grades, but everyone's. Could some of it be right? Absolutely. Could half of it? No. Like Austin Booker has never played full time ... he's not going in round 2. They have us taking Jalyx Hunt in the 3rd ... he's a project that definitely needs a redshirt.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Ex WR. But ... where is he playing? Yeast/Lake/ Sainrstil? He's not playing outside is he?by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Then I'd consider it. I'm not giving up 52 in this draft.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
this time of year gets tricky, trying to figure out the smoke and mirrors, but ... fantasy football is always running. And it's big money ... So I check who the top dynasty rookies are "before they're drafted and inherit a situation" to compare to after. I have us taking Pearsall or Legette at 52 ... Pearsall is WR11 Legette is WR 12 Daniel Jeremiah has 12 WRs in his topby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Thannnnk you ... Was hoping to get that number ...by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Well ... I'm not just being Devil's Advocate here ... Harrison, Nabers and Odunze are separated by a sheet of paper ... The 3rd WR has been coming off the board at 9. If Harrison gets to 8 where Raheem Morris sits ... would they take a 1st, 2nd, and next year's 1st to drop 11 slots ... especially given that their need is likely at Edge or CB? The idea of Harrison being a guaranteby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Did you watch the Wisconsin bowl game ? No Allen so they had to throw and Mordecai broke the passing yards record... I remembered him from SMU but was really shocked by his epic performance in that game.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
He's got pick 52 written all over him.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
I look for accuracy, leg, but mainly ... Game winning kicks in big games. That's why I have Little and Mevis on my list and not Karty so much.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
1. Do you think T Sweat makes it to the Rams pick in round 2? I actually do. He's such a niche addition to a defense that he can' really be "ranged" to well. He's not Dontari Poe or Haloti Ngata. The Eagles have not gotten great production from the recent Bulldog that was 350 (Davis?) ... so he may be out of vogue ... but his PFF grade was excellent. 2. Do you think B. Fiske makes itby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Accurate. I like the Fisher pick a lot. I try to fit him in and end up wanting a safety there but he or Rosengarten would be great value. Mcglothern is long ... Devonshire is a Pitt kid so I'm happy there. Ellis is a professional. Ceiling is lower but the floor is really high.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Mordecai is my guy for this spot ... But I like Leary a lot for it, also. Reminds me of Jay Cutler. Not the biggest dude but has a rocket for a right arm.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Newton for me ... but it should be noted ... He broke his foot in the middle of the year. If you saw him at the beginning of the year he may have been quicker. He still hasn't tested because of surgery in January. So those snaps are also in pain. For me I really like Murphy, so it's not a real dig on him that I like Newton better.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah when he and I are unified against the pundits I take us every time. I think one thing to add. At the beginning of the year Newton was top 10 on mock drafts ... he has slipped to around 30. At the beginning of the year I saw him and thought "that's accurate" and at the end of the year I thought "still top 10 to me."by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
But simply that playing almost twice as much has to water down the PFF grades a bit. Murphy had a 91.6 or something. You add 330 snaps to that and he's not a 91.6. Also asks the question ... "If Newton had been given more help in rotation, would he have performed better?" I like Newton better than Murphy before knowing this. For me it's a visible thing with what happens to theby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Pro day ... showed no ill effects from last year's broken hand ... threw it all over the yard. ran a 4.46 40. Jumped 36 inches. Kid can play.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Snap count. Newton Illinois 749. Murphy Texas 438. Average was around 500. Logan Lee was the only other one over 700 ... and he's 6-5 280.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
He had a massive pro day. Noted that.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
QB Good RB poor, with value late. TE Value late with a couple notable prospects that need the right fit. WR Really good top to bottom, possibly the best class ever. OT Good ... great at the top with dwindling depth. IL Above average with good depth value late. DT ... Weak class. Short area of value. Edge ... Average ... 3 blue chips and a lot of dart throws and rotationalby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
I think both Dead and I like Newton Better than Murphy. That said, Murphy had a ridiculous PFF grade. In my opinion, playing DT in the Big Ten is harder, and it's harder when your partner in crime isn't 360 lbs. Randolph was 315 and not as good as Sweat. I'm also pretty Newton beat his snap count by almost 200. Newton never had a rotation to fall back on. I'm all for trading down andby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
Nobody is talking about QB Tanner Mordecai RB Will Shipley WR Jordan Whittington (Brendan Rice is being undervalued but we all know him. TE Isaac Rex IT Javon Foster IL Nathan Thomas. DL Mehki Wingo Edge Brennan Jackson LB Nathaniel Watson CB Caelan Carson S Jaylon Carliesby alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
That's me, not the NFL. Same thing with Newton and Murphy. Odds are, based on their attitudes, I'd also take Nabers and Odunze before Harrison. So no ... I wouldn't.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
"Please don't let him end up on the Chiefs" was what the other guys around the league were saying during the combine coverage.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
He's in my second mock version ... where latu is gone and we trade down to take him around 24. I'm starting to warm up to Fiske in the second if Latu is there and we go edge in round 1 ... If we sign T White, CB can wait also and we can go WR in the 3rd where there will still be notable talent for a #3 along with a thumper off ball backer or another DT like Duane Carter to control the LOS.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
And maybe it's possible. Often my guys end up sliding for whatever reasons, I just have to use my board or I feel like I'm cheating. That draft would be great. Same with McConkey ... I can't see him getting past the Chiefs in round 1. They need 2 WRs who are not expensive to afford Jones.by alyoshamucci - RamsFootballFans.com
