Go and grab a ST from the UFL. I am a Stallion's fan and they were playing the Panthers whose PK (Jake Bates) hit that 64 yd fg last week. Well he just hit a 62 and a 52 yarder against the Stallions. He at least deserves to compete against what we already have in house or risk another rookie.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I am wondering if the Texans acquiring Diggs might mean they release Bobby Trees. There has been talk on this board about reuniting with OBJ but I would MUCH rather bring Bobby Trees back into the fold, he has a lot of tread on the tire, would complete the WR room and is the ultimate Kupp insurance because basically they both ran all the same routes pre-Stafford. If released it wouldn't require cby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
The reason I wanted Wentz was that he can bring something to the table that Stafford could not (running game even when Stafford is healthy) plus he could also be more helpful on scout team. However it show me at least in my opinion that McVay prefers his backup QB to approximate what Stafford brings to the table way more than running qb plays and scout team prep. I can see that.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Or at least close enough for us to easily trade up to, to reach.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
However I keep forgetting that the game in which Wentz impressed is the one that McVay had zero to do with the gameplan. Perhaps despite how it looks from the outside Wentz couldn't do what McVay wants out of his offense, at least now well.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
The UFL's best PK and KR. Bonez was way ahead of the league and raided top talent from the USFL for his special teams that made the pro bowl in the NFL. The Rams not paying attention to this avenue of cheap labor would be criminal. While some positions (OL and DL) aren't likely to have NFL talent fall to the UFL level, a good PK or Returner can easily fall thru the cracks.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Beware the obligatory AD has change of heart and is rejoining the Rams click bait. "I have seen the light let's go get a ring!" quote, lol.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Give me Dallas however I think he will be gone, I will be happy with Liatu.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Picking the Panthers shows no desire to win just a desire to cash in UNTIL I read somewhere the decision was more made to be closer to his family which has suffered some losses recently so I will cut him some slack. For me he was a great fit on a Ram's defense that has a strong presence on it. An locker room with AD in it would reveal the best possible Clowney. However this current Rams locker roby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
For me White is a high risk/high reward type. If it works it is a steal but there is a lot of risk involved. I would hope to also sign a Witherspoon as well to mitigate the risk, to a one year cap friendly deal. Let them battle it out. Spoon has a higher floor but a lower ceiling. If White stays healthy and kind find past glories hurray and then we have three very good vet cb's on the roster nothby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I still feel iffy about the CB position and would be all for bringing Spoon back on a team friendly deal. If Spoon can win the job outright sign him up for the rest of the Super Bowl window. If the Bill CB refinds his greatness it would have been cool to have Spoon insurance until we discover White is all the way back.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
If the price is right I wouldn't be opposed to bringing Witherspoon back on a team friendly deal. I like what he gave us last year, he has the right measurables to be valuable injury insurance in our secondary lessening the need to rely on our often toasted youngsters. Setting up competition in the CB room and allowing the Rams the option of trying to retain the CB that performs the best next yeaby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Clowney is perpetually signing one year deals but if he can show something this year (if we get him) his window and our current contending window match up. Adding Clowney and Latu to monster Zero's sophomore season (Byron Young) is a decent set of edge rushers since I am assuming Hoecht is bulking back up and putting his hand in the dirt.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I really didn't think Chase was a good fit in a post AD lockerroom but I find it interesting that a Saints team that is perpetually in cap hell for kicking the can down the road would sign him to a 1 year fully guaranteed deal. To what end? Why are they delaying taking their medicine as if they feel their championship window is still open?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Bucky I think one of the three will be there I was just curious that if all three will go off in the teens if it would be worth it to move up a few spots to choose one over the others. I have not problems with the Rams going Edge first and DL in the second. McVay gave the otfense all the love in FA so the defense deserves chance to eat.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
On the field he more closely approximates what Stafford can do plus has the added dimension of being able to run the ball which gives him value even when Stafford is 100%. Now I have no idea where he would rate on the Buccaneers Baker @#$%& scale but Wentz looked like a poor man's Stafford with more running ability. JG is the epitome of a vet back up, good for spot cleanup work and another guy iby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Just logged onto a computer at work and saw a Mock after the first week of FA (by some Sports Unlimited whatever). It only featured the first 16 picks but what I found fascinating in regards to the Rams is that they didn't have the first defensive player coming off the board until pick #13. Now I know #13 isn't #19 however if that form were to hold it wouldn't take much for the Rams to trade up tby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 All due respect, but I have to disagree with the author on this one. As a backup QB Garoppolo seems like a fine choice. Apparently, Rams either couldn’t come to terms with Wentz or just didn’t want him for their iwn reasons. Water under the bridge but I am curious as to which of the two it was concerning Wentz.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
If the Rams reached out and he was holding out for something with a closer shot at starting or if the Rams weren't interested at all.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams should in that case pursue the Jag's Allen not the Eagles Reddick. Reddick is good but Allen is younger and might be transformational in the right system whereas Reddick imo is just very good.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteramBRO Although I don't believe that Wentz is a world-beater, I do believe that he's better than Jimmy G. What? Is he (Wentz) taking the same route he did last off-season (i.e. waiting for an injury/desperation)? I hope that his rumored locker room demeanor didn't have the Rams wanting to part ways with him. He was probably holding out hoping for a phone call just like last year. The Rby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I was all for bringing in Chase Young or Jadaveon Clowney because we had AD on the roster. I am not sure if we can afford to bring in underachieving players on the roster when we don't have an elite player to hold them accountable. Maybe Darkly Brooding Matthew Stafford can do it but otherwise now we have to beware of locker room cancers.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteCROMWELL21 No. His retirement doesn't change much If he was retiring anyway couldn't he like say add five void years at back end to decide up dead cap hits once he retires to manipulate the cap?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
If AD was committed to his ten year plan was it wise to take that year to take our medicine? Was playing on the gutted team what hastened his departure? In other words would it have been better to pull a Saints and stay all in until the three pillars AD, Stafford and McVay are gone? Last year let's say keep Ramsey and Floyd and try run it back 2.0?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
If the answer is ALOT then is trading for Allen on the Jags still possible or the Eagles DE?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
It might be a prank but it looks bad. ESPN says he just announced he is retiring. I thought it was just about the restructuring.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Is this extra cap space from the Boom and AD restructure for particular players or just cap flexibility? Secretly I am hoping they need the space for either an already behind the scenes for an edge to be acquired in trade or for Clowney/Chase. They also can now go get Spoon or Gilmore if they consider him an upgrade over the next 3 years at the opposite CB position and maybe JJIII as well. We wilby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I would hope that McVay has some of the answers since he had Wentz in his locker room for a couple of months. If he was intrigued enough to want to know more they will try to keep him. However Wentz opinion of himself, wanting more money is why he was on the couch for as long as he was. If he lowers his contract demands I don't know why the Rams wouldn't want him, however if I was Wentz I am sureby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I remember talks last year about the Rams wanting to restructure Matthew's deal but Stafford declined. I got the feeling that the Rams were wanting something that would mean less money for Matt and he wasn't having it. However after this past season I am wondering if the Rams would be open to extending Matt's deal a couple more years of security, and added cap flexibility for the team. Since theby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 You really think that way about him, being self centered? He was skipping along with Turner last year, he wasn't moping around when Turner was tieing his rookie record, he was right there encouraging him. I would think you'd come up with he has inside info of a trade coming down for Josh Allen ....LOL..... The guy has more than made his money, I think he loves the locker room, Iby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
