LOL... I mean, I like what Buffalo has been doing (though they still can't seem to figure out the RB position), but windows close quickly in the NFL. Even with a young QB. Who is about to be paid, btw. I'm guessing a lot of fans in Buffalo would take a deal like this: "Ok, we win a Super Bowl (finally!), but in the next couple of years or so we might struggle as we retool a bit. But putting them behind this OL would do very little, IMHO. Between injuries and ineffective play from most of the offensive lineman, it's been hard to get any sort of consistent running game going. And Stafford is basically getting squashed out there when he tries to throw. Just don't see how this offense will improve much unless the offensive line issues get addressed. Though it would be funny if they use another one on a QB who basically doesn't see the field once again. ;) But on the surface, it looks like the Packers just weakened themselves and the path through the NFC gets a bit easier. Would have been nice if Brady stayed retired, but the Rams showed he can be beaten in the playoffs -- and Father Time has got to catch up to him eventually. Maybeby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com

First of all, I think it's unfortunately a pretty good move for Seattle. Even with Wilson, I don't think they are a viable contender. So while he still has good value, deal him and load up again. Though I do wonder if the Seachickens are doing this to load up on draft capital and perhaps make a run at Deshaun Watson. ...I kinda questioned his signing in the first place. Granted, when he was in college, I really wanted the Rams to draft him. But that was many, many moons ago. Age and injuries made my question why the Rams wanted to sign him. I know they wanted someone to stretch the field, but I really wondered how well he would actually fill that role. I have the feeling Stafford will come out gunning in this game. Basically after facing the Bears twice a year in the past, a bit of "how do you like me now?" coming this Sunday night. Maybe it's just me, but I am thinking blowout here. Something like Rams 34-13 over the Bears. And hopefully Aaron Donald making Andy Dalton's life miserable back there. Even though there have been plenty of picks being blown over the years, Greg Robinson has to be at the top of the list for me. Not only was he a 1st round pick, but he was a very high first round pick. And at a very important position too. At least they got Aaron Donald later on in the 1st round of that draft (at #13, if memory serves), so that kinda makes up for it some. Too bad they couldby brgjoe - RamsFootballFans.com

I am just a casual draft follower. I don't watch all the tape and see all the players that you and others do. But to me most of the Rams draft seemed, "Meh." All these guys look like they could be coached up and contribute in some manner. But none said, "Hey, looks like they got a real steal at this pick!" to me. And 149lbs at his pro day? Wow. I don't mind speculation on who is going to pick what. But the incessant "Mock Drafts" are totally useless to me. I don't care about Mel's or Todd's picks for 1-32. Also hate the "such and such dude is climbing the boards!" I would think most teams have had their boards stacked and graded for a long while now. A lot of us were saying that at the time too. You are in an ever closing window to win now. So what do you do? Trade up for a QB who may or may not pan out. And then draft a RB who is a bench warmer. Look, it's pretty much been established the Rams are in a "win now" mode. And that window won't stay open that long. So why not leverage future assets (which may or may not amount to anything) for someone who I think immediately upgrades the most important position in football. That is, keeping him more in the pocket. When gets outside the rush and improvises, that when he is the most deadly. Do the Rams have the talent to do that this time? I think their secondary is good enough to slow him down. But can the other guys stay disciplined enough to stay in their lanes? I guess we shall see. I haven't watched a full pregame show in *years*. I thought ESPN used to have the best one. You'd get previews of each game with actual football discussion being made. Now it seems they all just like to laugh and joke and play up entertainment, rather than going in depth about the actual games. I usually just wait until the actual games start before tuning in. Ok, I guess I kinda get it. Even Washington is technically in the running for that sorry-azzed East Division title. So maybe Rivera thinks the change will spark his team and give them a better chance to win against the Rams. I still think it's Fool's Gold though.
