Look, it's pretty much been established the Rams are in a "win now" mode.
And that window won't stay open that long. So why not leverage future assets (which may or may not amount to anything) for someone who I think immediately upgrades the most important position in football.
You can say Goff's and Stafford's stats are similar Fine. But I would really like to see how well both QB's do now on different teams. The Lions really have been a dumpster fire during most of the years Stafford as been there. Yeah, they had Megatron there for a few years. But then who else have they had? They have had basically nothing in the running game, a lousy line and a horrible defense.
Let's see what Stafford can do with a decent line, an promising running attack now, a Super Bowl caliber defense, and one of the most innovative offensive minds in the league coaching him.
I like it when organizations go "all in" and do whatever they can to win -- especially when I think they are so close to being title contenders. Especially after this trade. Good work, Les.
