If you had said you can have Dotson or J Jackson.... I'd have said Dotson please. The fact he comes slightly cheaper, shows it was a good deal for the Rams. And Dotson, got certainly, almost all of what he might have got, but just as important, he got to stay where he likes playing (football and free time!).by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Why the hell wouldn't you play the teams games and do even simple testing, show no ego and look like you are going to care!!! No,No, No, why would I do that... Someone says I'll give you $10m if play this game. But only $2m if you play yours!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Voiding his contract, be interesting to see what he's signed for!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I can totally go with that line. However it depends which Snead draft version we get... if last year's I can see you line. But if previous years, I think they'd go WR Thomas, then surprise us with an out of the box Edge then CB pick!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
So if the draft were today and at pick 19 these guys were available, where do the Rams go... Edge Latu CB Arnold T Fashanu (which I cant really see as possible, but it's been floated) WR Thomas Like, all of these would be great potentially. My least favourite is the T as I think our RFA on his current trajectory is good enough. But I'd have a hard time of arguing for any of the othby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm thinking they must have lost out on an edge or two that they had hoped for.... Uche, Mack being cut etc and maybe all the equivalent level replacements are getting RFA tag kind of money i.e $3M. 'the better you know' type deal with Michael Hoecht and if they feel he has position flexibility still to flip between Edge and DE.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
and not going to get any extras for the 2025 draft.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Going to be honest........ I wanted a Mack, even for 1 or 2 years. I remember getting all giddy the first time I heard about the Rams trying for him before being traded to the Bears. Donald and Mack would have been a pretty special pairing, Oh Well, whos next?by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams signed Mack and Fuller for vet mins And drafted, Q Mitchel!!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with betting on a rookie edge.... although Latu does look quite polished already. I would do a backflip if we signed Mack, less so on the Eagles two. But its cap issues, how to sign another biggish contract without restructuring someone else and kicking the cap problem down the road abit. A Fuller dign too would ridiculous....... ly good, but also a big cap issue. Would love boby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
After our very un-Rams like hyper activity in the early days of FA, where are our biggest holes still. I would argue that Edge is 1 and CB is 1b. Assuming our RFA LT is resigned, otherwise this jumps up too, especially if Noteboom isn't restructured and kept. So question is would you prefer to draft and whetes the better value. From draft game scenarios to me if one of the big three edgeby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I've got that internal feeling of hmmmm about Parkinson. Yep it seems quite a rich offering for an underused TE. But the vids show potential of a really decent blocker and underrated receiver. So I'm siding with your idea, he's going to workout better than anyone can see just now.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
The more I think about it the more sense a Flacco, Tannerhill etc makes. A serious backup QB, that's seen it before and can even be more of a sounding board for Stafford and NcVay. Makes toooooo much sense!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm in tomorrow already and ready to know!!!!! Just have to wait for the sleepy heads over the pond to catch up. ;)by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I've liked him, but over last week he keeps popping for me. Blinkscout also has a good take on. I'm on board if they yook him in the 2nd at some point. He would add our that defence nicely. Sort of Snead does too, in could he replace E Jones if resigning him gets too expensive.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Hassan (on last year of contract for $14,250,000-$15,500,000) Or Mack (on last year of contract for $17,550,000) Assuming no contract extensions done by Rams.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Both sound nice options if Wentz not returning. But I imagine that unless some team gets crazy with them offering a can't miss offer, these QBs will prob sit tight until nearer training camp.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
At least it looks and feels like it isn't going to happen. For cap reasons it will only save $804,778 while leaving a dead cap charge of $11,803,861. But it would not be a good look for the Rams, who pride themselves as a player first team. Cutting Higbe while just starting to rehab from serious injury, just months after signing extension. I think he stays, Rams see how he looks end ofby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
The last big name possibly available is Mack. If the chargers can't afford to keep him, how much would a trade cost? From over the cap he has a base salary of $17,550,000 fir 2024 (last year). Signing and roster bonus already paid ($15,267,500 $5,500,000).. So $17.5m for this season is not cheap but not bad for an edge that played like Mack did last year. And hopefully they could worby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
and ideally between picks 1-18!!! That and a bunch of OL too, that could push a top Edge, CB or WR, or allow a little trade down and still get a great pick!!!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
because if he comes back I would still like to add a CB in the first 3 rounds. But it makes other options of getting an edge more favourable. Me personally, I hate trade ups as I like more picks and more chances to hit of a Kobbie T or Nucca etc.... However, how much would you give up if it was looking needed to move up in round 1 to get a Verse, Turner or Latu??? Very Good to great Edge rby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't believe Mitchell will be still available at 19, his tape, senior bowl play and timed speed are making him possible CB1. I would love to be wrong!! However, with a trade back or two I could see... TJ Tampa K Lassiter Sainatral Or even a bit further back Melton, Carson etc.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Can we still make it work this year? Also he's FA next year, so need to keep comp low and reality iz he'll want a nice new fat contra ct! Wouldn't mind him though....by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I think we all thought they might add a C either via FA or draft. But first day of tampering and interior OL set. Good call.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
A big smashing you up OL. And all being well,I think we might have one. It made me like the young lad I was when watching Harrah, Newbury and Co, mash people. I love it when a team has an OL identity pride in munching DL and LBs up. Really really looking forward to seeing them work over the 49ets snd Seahawks! Bring it on.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure he was playing his best last season though. But if he hits 2021 form, Avila takes next steps as a 2nd Yr player and Fotson continues as last year, that's a serious interior OL that can get nasty on people.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Felt it was OK on initially hearing it. Then felt we might of over paid and maybe $14M was possible. Then Hunts contract just made this look more than reasonable. Same with Jonas, as I'd rather these two than Hunt anyway.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Per over the cap... Hassan 2024 salary cap hit is $21,827,000, which is the last year of his current contract (there are two void years). His base salary for 2024 is $14,250,000, with some bonuses. So some where between $14.2M AND $18M.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
