But Stafford is just an incredible arm talent and can do things very few can do. Rogers, Mahomes, etc are these kinda guys too. But Stafford is ours and I pray he plays until 40yrs old.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and to be that BIG and still be so active...even has some pass rush moves to force the QB off his spot. I like Gaines and wish they play him more...and he's incredibly cheap compared to ARob.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
yikes. I like Staley more....cuz he's Fangio + ... ...but Fangio is a helluva a DC and would complement our offense greatly.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe they just measure things that don't appear to indicate meaningful things....or something like that. Cuz, I don't get some of their stuff.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Grading a pass that should have been intercepted...is a method, I guess. But if yer gonna play what-ifs....you have to factor in that dropped pass that if caught, would've been a TD. I dunno...that's getting into weird territory for analyzing/quantifying plays. imo oh well.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
he is a barely avg DT/DE...we signed him to that contract cuz we thought we lost Brockers. At 9m/yr...that is money we need for folks that are worth it. ARob is a dead-man walking....roster-wise. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, wth? 22/28, 4TDs/1 INT, and has a QBR of 128. (imo - the INT was through Kupp's hands & catchable...though a tad hard and high.) With a stat line like that + the win.....how on earth is that performance graded a 61?? Seriously?! PFF is missing the forest for the trees on some of these calculations. I think they are valuing some other stats -that are minor- more than otherby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I like them both and think they will develop faster with "real" playing time. It might be a good thing that Mundt got hurt in that we will see 2 guys, at least, as good, but I think both rookies will be better than Mundt. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
but we do develop DBs and OL it seems....and I'm just sayin it might be cool to stat to "try" and develop QB talent since it seems McVay really has a feel for the makings of a good one. Perhaps he could draft a pet project for depth. I'm just musing about that.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
And McVay is playing with fire not having a better 2nd string QB...to help the team get thru a few games if Stafford gets hurt. McVay just likes the mobility from Wolf and Perkins after having Goff for 4yrs...but sheer mobility is NOT enough. Passers are there to be found and developed...and we need to start doing that like we do with DBs and OL.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
throwing the ball away on 4th down??? wth?? After 5yrs in the NFL? Time to move on...and I'm glad we did. McVay really did get the best from him and designed an offense where he could get us to a SB. But, Goff has really let himself down....and doesn't seem to be into the game anymore. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
so, I'd like to see McVay draft his choice of a guy that has the qualities that McVay values. we'll see.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
at least so far in their careers. Atwell doesn't even look fast to me...just avg....tho Atwell does appear to have better hands than Tavon... Tavon was a brilliant natural runner with the ball. imo I'm really hoping Atwell starts to contribute more. btw - I really wish they'd play Burgess more as a CB/Slot/FS...he's got super ball skills and is a great tackler. DDeyon is just a good CBby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
to take over the 2nd spot. But maybe just getting a vet that's seen it all before is the best way. A QB like Geno Smith sure looked like he had the escapability that we liked in but is a MUCH better passer. I'd love to sign GSmith or a journeyman like that for our 2nd stringer. We'll see. I just thin Wolford has the passing ability necessary.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
tho high & fast to the inside thru Kupps hands. That's just getting used to the different balls Goff & Stafford throw. imo Now, Stafford HAS been off target many times the last 2-3 games...but many are balls that should have been caught. Rule is: If you can get two hands on it...it's a catch..the QB has done his job. There are exceptions of course, but Stafford is my kind of QB and hby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
many DL are taught to grab at the QB's arm- if possible- cuz they are often moving and about to throw and tackling them kinda high gives the D a shot at a fumble while tackling the QB. In most cases, I think it's a fine tactic and we'll get some INTs or Fumbles that way...but when it doesn't work...whew...it hurts!! lol Perhaps they should only use that tackling mechanic with most - not allby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and he was one of yer favs before Buffalo drafted him and left him to die in that moribund offense. Kupp & Woods are the Bruce/Holt of today without a doubt. What's interesting is how they get DJax playing time without it obvious we are going to throw deep to him. That will be key for McVay because DJax makes BIG plays whenever he's targeted...and Stafford is "able" to get theby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
might be construed...as a bit too phallic. Although, "Sometimes a cigar....is just a monument." is how the saying goes. iirc Yeah, perhaps they should just stick with Red Wolves. Heck, I thought Washington Warriors would be great as it had the same syllables as the old name.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and Woods needs to get the ball 5-8x every week...like Kupp.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Stafford had a the worst game as a Ram and still had 365yds. wow. The short route was often wide open...BUT... Stafford went for the deeper throw EVERYTIME. Goff did the opposite. Stafford is still getting used to everyone and they to him. I'll take the Stafford learning curve any day of the week...especially on Sundays! ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
not too bad. Just think how much Stafford will throw they get on the same page and the offense is used to each other?!! Yikes! Stafford is definitely NOT in tune with the WRs...they are not syncing to what he likes/wants when a play breaks down or if he buys time they are not moving the way he thinks/wants them to. imo I think some throws have been poor...but I think many have been just leby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
to Stafford's ball speed on passes...very slow getting their head turned around. imo We've played very erratically over the last 2 games...and won 1 against a playoff team. Stafford is still adjusting to this offense and his WRs...and McVay is still finding out about Stafford. To be 4-1 while not playing our best is a hopeful sign. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
are they even playing? It's how they are being used...it has to be....cuz those guys always showed up in some form last year. Now, I don't even see them on the screen. Meanwhile, Rapp and Long are fading. imo I think Burgess is a very good cover safety and Nickel/CB.....and is much better natural feel for the passing game than Rapp. imo Long has always been just "meh" in coverby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
which is pretty good...cuz, rounding DOWN, that'd be about a 12-5 record if things hold as they have for the first Qtr of the season....(and we know they usually do not). However, 1 very bad game does not a season make. Cards played their best game...we played one of our worst...and sans many poor series of playcalling-calling & TOs, we were within a score or two at various times in theby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, c'mon.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
to be the best...we need to beat the best...sooner or later. I want the hardest team every week...and our Rams either win or lose...it's up to them!!! Bring it on!!!!by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and was very active getting his feet wet in his first NFL game experience.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
..and no TD passes on 46 completions!!! Jeesh...who cares how much we bent...we didn't break. A pretty impressive defense again this week...against a very good offense.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
