Quotesix2stack QuoteRams43 BTW, how has J Lau played this year for the Saints? Not being a smart ass. I really don't know. Anybody got any feedback on him? Not very good from those stats. I have no idea if he's a starter though. Thanks, stack. Much appreciated.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteGreatRamNTheSky All summer long I've been preaching that Troy Hill needs to be starting. His ball skills are very very good and better than anyone else's on the team except maybe TruJo and even that in my opinion is up for debate. This guy can play and he's as good a cover corner as the Rams have had next to Jenkins and Johnson the last 5 years. Grits You like Hill better than a heby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Actually, Cooper was active yesterday. Only reason I know this is that he dropped a pass from Keenum that hit him in his danged hands. A completion that would have given us a 1st down and kept a drive alive in a very tight ballgame. Might have gotten him pulled, because I don't recall another Cooper target all game long. Having said the above, I would favor an immediate replacement oby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

First, it must have been beyond exciting to have attended that cliffhanger with 91,000 other screaming fans, huh? The Coliseum sure looked great on my flatscreen, that's for sure. Brought back lots of wonderful memories to this old timer. Jack Youngblood wasn't the only one a little choked up by game's end, Haven't yet rewatched the game yet, but here goes with a few first impressions...by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRamUK Come on man, I really like your posts. Can't we just enjoy a killer win before we start with the hand wringing all over again? QuoteRams43 But I will say this. Nine points in two games total is something that should be troubling us all. We've got a looooong way to go on O just to be decent. Thank goodness for our D and our ST. Otherwise, we lose this in a rout. Sorry, UK.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotestlramman How about Johnny Hekker today? 6 punts all downed inside the 20, zero return yards. :bravo Hekker is a weapon. I don't care what jemach says. Lol.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

We've beaten Pete Carroll and his Seahawks 4 of the last 5 times that we've met. Just let that sink in for a minute. Don't even try to figure that out, just enjoy the thought. Then open a tall cool one and smile...by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci I don't know what has to happen to let a kid who lit up the preseason at a tough position take some starting reps ... but it's time. Totally agree, Alyo. I mean, it almost makes TOO much sense, doesn't it? If Gaines can't go, why NOT give the up and comer a series or two? Instead of stubbornly sticking 100% with the likes of Sensabaugh. BTW, wasn't Sensabaugh acquiredby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Anybody else find it troubling that the Ram coaches were amazed to learn that their players weren't really ready once the actual game started? Or that significant mid game adjustments on our O, as they did on D in the 3rd qtr, never occurred?by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
No question that this is a much better D with a healthy Gaines at outside CB. His continual injuries are a problem. A problem that the Rams don't need, frankly. The irony is that it was the lisfranc injury that we were all worried about. Sigh... Another thing. The lingering injuries to Spruce and Cooper are holding us back on O, too. Both players essentially playing the slot position. Tby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteCROMWELL21 I am not on the Fisher bandwagon but KC just cut their third round pick. Talent is one thing. Sometimes those players don't pan out. They drafted Donald and Gurley too. They got some pretty good late picks and UDFAs. It's the philosophy and not being able to ever get a number one QB and WR that flummoxes me. But this interview just seems silly. There has been bad bloodby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLesBaker Why would he spend time evaluating talent when he had no say other than asking for something/someone. It's nonsensical, would we expect to see Snead coaching players? No, it's not his job. So why spin that? In the last 5 years the Titans have 18 wins, 5 in the previous 2 seasons. Reese doesn't have a lot of room to talk. Former Titans GM Floyd Reese on Jeff Fisher: "No Thoughts" It's not going to be a fun year for Jeff Fisher. By Eric Nagel @Eric_nagel Sep 15, 2016, 8:00am On Nashville's 102.5 Game radio station, Jared Stillman and Floyd Reese, have a talk show called Jared and the GM. QuoteLesBaker He said: "L.A. fans are not like Steeler fans; they're not like Packer fans," Dickerson said. "They're just not. You have to accept that. But when you have a winning product on the field, I'm telling you, you have no better fans. It's Hollywood. Hollywood is all about glitz and glamour -- and winning." He just sort of casually and disrespectfully called LAby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
No, not the tongue thing. That was kinda weird, but not puzzling. The comment that the Rams "don't have a whole lot" was the puzzler for me. Is he saying that the Rams currently lack the talent to play winning football? If so, I strongly disagree. Certainly enough to beat a Niner team, for cryin' out loud. No, the problem wasn't a lack of talent. The problem was that that talenby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemax There is absolutely no excuse for that type of performance on MNF. But is was typical of a Fisher team. Agreed again, max. Losing a game is one thing. Happens to the very best of teams, occasionally. But to show up for an opener so unprepared? That's hard to forgive, IMO.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemax How many years do you need to evaluate a coaches ability to assess receivers? Let's face it Fisher is just bad at it. To simple say, well they tried and it didn't work doesn't address the real problem Here's the real problem - They aren't good at it. Bingo, max. You just answered your own topic question, IMO. Lol. So, zn... Setting all those rationalizations aside (I know you hate the term excuses), don't you think 4 years is a more than reasonable time to develop a decent WR corps? I, for one, think that 4 years is a more than fair time frame for a good HC to overcome outside influences regarding his WR position group. That's my Big Picture pov, anyway.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
View: Perhaps Kroenke is merely holding out an extension as a carrot to motivate Fisher to have a good season? If true, THAT would make a helluva lot more sense to me.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteGreatRamNTheSky You are buying into Turfshowtimes? I wouldn't read their crap if somebody paid me. If he were determined to extend Fisher, why wait until the season is underway? Why put Fisher through "lame duck" status unnecessarily for 8 months? And why extend now? In 4 more months Kroenke will know whether Fisher has turned the corner with a winning season. It's not as if he would be risking the loss of Fisher by waiting. QuoteRounderRick I do not understand people having Singletary taking over. He was terrible with niners. If you are going with an interim, gotta pick offensive genius. Okay, Rounder, I'll bite. QuoteAtlantic Ram I'm guessing that is an autocorrect for play calling but it is way more apt. This offense is play acting pretending to be a real offense.
