He was a physics prof at Un Chicago and worked on the Manhattan Project in developing the Atom bomb. He also was a signatory to the letter begging the President not to use the bomb on civilians. TBI can exist even in youngsters especially so if a child is subjected to repeated hits to the head playing football. This is because the brain has not yet reached it's full capabilities to prevent these injuries making them far more vulnerable. Moreover, it's not the number of hits -one blow can do permanent damage depending on the vulnerability of the particular child's brain and the brains ofby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
Still in a batting slump. This win was from pitching including both starting throwers and relieve-although the last reliefer was a starter. Not to slight the play of Miguel at 2d base. Now the Q of the day/night is who will be the starting picture for the Dodgers tomorrow. If they want Ohtani to be the DH and picture he will have to start. They can't bring him into the game as a reliever andby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
When pitchers went the full 9 and then some. Koufax, Drysdale, Padres, Gibson, Seaver, etc., etc. Sure felt good didn't it.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Their most vulnerable weak spot, disastrously exploited. And again, you cannot count on Ohtani when there are men on base in a critical situation in a critical game.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Looking at the men attending the game most all wearing coats, ties, and many with hats. I doubt there were many, if any, fights in the stands even though it was a hated rivalry for many yearslby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I think we all know what that's about.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Didn't watch the game:didn't look at the internet;didn't read the Times this a.m. I'm only going to assume Ohtani struck out a lot, the bullpen lost whatever lead we had. What I don't understand is why, after hours of trying, I can't seem to buy any tickets for the next game. Any of you guys want to sell me two.?by waterfield - Bucky's Pub

Our 15 yr old springer (Pepper) began having gran mall seizures 4 nights ago. Rushed to emergency vet at 4:30 am who injected her with phenobarbital the drug of choice to settle down her brain. The problem with an aging dog like Pepper is that her hind legs were already compromised by a slow growing spinal disease and the drug just further makes her legs so weak that she cannot control her bowelsby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I read today that Tanner Scott was unavailable due to "personal reasons". With Vesia out because of nearness to his last appearance Kersch was likely the only left hander available to face the lefty strong Phillies. So maybe not "shark bait" and instead necessity. I had forgotten the score was only 3-1 when he came into the game. OTOH he has had "October issues" overby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Two things: Kershaw was inserted -IMO-to save the Dodger "starters" in the pen since they were only down one game should they lose this game. Simply put, he was in there as shark bait. What a terrible way to end your career. Shame on you Andrew Friedman-this was not on Rogers. Let's hope the Dodgers can win this series, move through the next series and then on to the WS and Kersh getsby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
isn't thinking the exact same thing ! Had the Dodgers lost tonight and lost the series I doubt Rogers would be back next season. I think his explanation was something to the effect of :" If we are going to go to and win the WS Blake will have to play an important role. Moreover, Roki was a "rookie" when it comes to relief and this was a big, big game". What he apparentlyby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
What a surprise he has been just in the last few weeks. His stuff is magic if he can find the plate. Something has happened where he is back to where the Dodgers bet on him with his huge contract (although due to his age-quite the bargain) Ohtani: I still think his greatest asset for the Dodgers is pitching-at least until he starts hitting HRs with men on base.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Fans can blame the kicker. "Recency" but the truth is -imo-there are a lot of players involved before Karty's foot hits the ball. It all starts with the O line as with most plays besides just xpts and Fgs. Until the Rams go all in on the O line we will continue to have issues. That's Demoff and it may be above him who want the skills players to bring in attendance and tv revenues.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought tha's exactly what the Niners were thinking. Hence a Stafford run around the end or a pass. Then again this is second guessing after the play failed.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
The Niners are a very well run organization. You can never take for granted a win against them even when they do not have their starters. Their coach is no slouch either. They showed all this in getting to 14-0 tonight right off the bat.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
The photo of your grandson (I presume) and Guido on the couch is priceless. Don't ever lose it. My favorite of Pepper is a black and white taken from the back that shows Pepper looking outside during a snow storm at me digging our car out in Tahoe. My granddaughter is there looking at me also with her arms around Pepper-almost like saying "he's OK Pepper he is going to be all right. "by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Excuse me if I sound like Captain Obvious but it seems clear that who wins the first of the three game series has a tremendous advantage as they don't have to win two in a row compared to ever loses the first game. So tonight is huge !by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
My Pepper is most certainly NOT a cuddler. But she is lovely and very attached to us. Our last Springer Casey was very cuddly and your photo reminded me of him. Unfortunately, his biggest joy was fighting other dogs and biting people including me. But Springers are so easy to forgive and love. I'm thinking that when Pepper passes -she's 15-we should think about a liver and white like Guido. Butby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
When one of the coaches pointed his finger at Tutu on the bench my first thought was he was saying "we're going to go to you deep when we get the ball". I hope others saw that as well.by waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com
