The thing about a lot of those old converted movie theaters..

..and I've played a few in the past.. is that the acoustics are usually dynamite in them.. just off the charts good.. We played one in '87 that was insane acoustically.. Michael Martin Murphy had played there a few years earlier and went on and on about the acoustics in the room.. then he did an experiment and played and sang a song - alone - with the guitar NOT mic'd and him just singing without a mic.. You could hear him clear as day in the balcony and it sounded incredible.. The last thing he said before leaving the stage was to take care of that theater and don't let anyone tear it down.. Its a historical site i Texas, now, so they won't be earing it down anytime soon..
