Yeah it looks pretty easy..

Just 4-5 wire connections to make.. Thermostat pops out, heat element screws in.. So, I drained the hot water heater and ran water through it to get out the sediment (holy crap!) and whatnot, but now the hot water heater won't refill..

Water is definitely running, drain valve is closed, pop off valve has no pressure.. I run the hot water faucet and water runs, it drains when I open the drain valve, but once I close the drain valve, the water stops filling the tank.. I assume there's an air pocket in the tank, but I cant get it out..

This might have been the issue all along - water not refilling in the tank..

Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
