Was flying one that got hung up in the pine tree of the fella who lived next to mt Grandfather. (My Grandfather lived directly across from us) LOL This guy was my Mom's age but was a kid at heart. ANYWAY.....He snagged the Bat Kite in the Pine tree. Or should I say the string. Because SOMEHOW, the kite remained flying when he tried to pull it free and the line snapped. The line snagged and I guess wrapped a limb somehow while the kite flew about 20 feet about the tree. And it was a TALL Southern Pine. About 60-70 feet up. My neighbor, my Brother and me, stood there for 20-30 minutes waiting for the kite to fly off. It never did. Long story short, it flew above that tree for almost three days straight. It finally tore and fell into the tree. The remains of the kite stayed in that tree for well over a year.
