We used to
but outdoor Christmas Lights take a beating in Iowa weather in December , it was always a constant battle to keep them working , with the wind , and snow and ice
although , ALOT of people around here still put up outside lights , I'm just not one of them
there are two kinds of people around here who put up outdoor lights
the ones who do actually maintain them up past Christmas , and the ones who put them up in November , and only half of them are still working by Christmas
, their usually also the ones put up those big inflatable decorations in November , but they've long since deflated and are buried under a foot of snow and ice , those are the ones I'll never understand , they go out and spend all that money on those big inflatable decorations , just to watch them get ripped to shreads in the wind
even though we no longer put up outside lights at our house , we still put up outside decorations , just stuff that alot more sturdy and can handle the weather conditions
