some time back I mentioned that on the Universal City Tour....

They no longer point out the sites for many of those old movies. For example: All the town scenes in "Frankenstein" were filmed on the back lot of Universal but the guides don't even mention that these days.... people don't remember those old movies. I remember riding the tour tram and passing by the Arch used in Frankenstein and turning to my oldest grandson and telling him about it, (because the guide didn't mention it), and just getting a confused look from my grandson. laughing smiley He had never seen Frankenstein and it meant nothing to him.

There are props lying all over Universal just wasting away in the harsh Calif. sun. Carts used in "The Planet of the Apes"... things like that. If you're a long time movie fan keep your eyes open while on the tour because you can recognize many of those old props. - JamesJM
