Yes I did...

I'm been privy to a LOT of Air Force planes because I make training aides on those planes.. We didn't have a C-5 at Sheppard, so we had to travel to Altus Oklahoma where most of them are.. I think it was Altus - can't even remember the base name.. But, yeah, they actually put a c-5 on blocks just for me to video how the landing gear rotated and retracted.. and up in the wheel well I go to see it retract into the plane.. it was so freaking cool..

Let's see.. been in a B-1 bomber - did an ejection seat course on that.. there are 4 seats and so they don't run into each other in air, they eject in order, not at the same time.. Sat in the cockpit of an A-10 (my favorite) F-16 (TINY cockpit) F-15, B-52, C-17, KC-135 (course was on the air to air fueling capability.. made a course where you had to operate the controls to make contact with the plane to refuel.. and tons of other planes and support vehicles..

I built an entire 3D model of a MJ1 Bomb cart, where you had to manipulate the levers to raise a bomb to be attached to the wing of a plane..

but my FAVORITE projects are 3D models of jet engines.. Did the F-100, both Pratt and Whitney and General Electric (they use both) use in F-15's and 16's, My favorite the TF34 - the engine used in the A-10, F-135 (P&W) used in the F-35's, and the workhorse of all heavy aircraft, including most commercial airliners, the CFM56.. Lets not leave out the props engines - also did a animated 3D model of the AE2100 in the C130J aircraft..

All the engine models are animated going through the startup sequence and showing air flow, sparks, fire, fuel spray, the works..
