Wow did our Varsity take a beating. Not that we weren't expecting it. Kerman had never before in history played a team of that caliber. They could, possibly, be the best team in central Calif.... certainly one of the top 5.

So I don't know if 'humbled' is the right word, actually.... Kerman certainly wasn't cocky... we knew this game was going to be a tough one.

Ashton, my grandson, did pretty danged good... threw 2 TD's and was by far our leading rusher... maybe around 100yds? And yes, yet another TD called back on a holding. That's 7, maybve 8 he's had called back this year.. (and yes, I think legit calls).

Might be some bad blood over this one, however... as one of their players was doing cartwheels on the field DURING the play... and would also make a tackle then hold our player down while.. and I know this sounds weird.... simulate 'swimming' while on top of our player? That's what it looked like. He was never called for a penalty, however.

That surprised me... CVC had a reputation as being a very respectable team... the kid that did the above was a transfer and last night was his first game.. I think, certainly hope, CVC's coach gave him a good talking too. - JamesJM
