Not one of the most exciting races I've ever seen but still great.

The place was PACKED.... we were 2.5 hours early and had a hard time finding a seat. When we did they were not the best.... too low. Kinda fun, however, as we were pelted with dirt/mud throughout. We sat right at the exit of turn 4.

Only 5 of us went.... and I was very pleased when my grandkids got chills during the traditional 4-Wide Salute.

I should have listened to my own advice. I hadn't seen more than 3 sprint cars during hot laps when I told me family turn 2 would be where the action was and I considered moving BUT... didn't want to risk leaving our seats and not finding others so we stayed put... turn 2 turned out to be exactly that, where the action was. I could tell that turn 2 was where the drivers were struggling the most.

My granddaughter got a kick out of the crowd... extremely friendly people and also redneck to the core. My son-in-law joked that he half expected the snack bar to be selling possum on a stick. I would have bought one if true.

Fun night and well worth it. - JamesJM
