My last Springer Casey ( not Pepper) had what some Vets-familiar with the breed-had what has been called "springer rage" which acts like a seizure. She would lash out for no reason at all with no apparent triggers-especially if were anywhere close to his face. He would then shake and begin a slow down much like a gran mal. I still have scars on my feet for walking in the dark at night and coming too close. A beautiful dog that I could have shown were it not for this. They simply could not separate the DNA that caused the seizures from the good DNA that made him such an otherwise marvelous pet.
