One thing I noticed long ago is the number a less well known, and elderly, actors we lose almost daily is shocking.

I've always noticed the lesser known and smaller roles in TV and movies... not by name, (always), but I almost never forget a face. So every time I get on IMDB, which is at least once a day, I have a moment, or several, of sadness to learn of the passing of a small role actor I knew well. Not referring to Nichelle here, who was VERY well known.

Just read an article, posted last year, that only 3 actors from the "Silent Movie Era" are, or were, still living... of course they were very young in those silent films and not at all well known. As for 'famous'... I don't think any are still living.... they would almost certainly have to be about 107+ years old if they are living.
